A great hike up to see some wonderful views . It gets very warm so best to go as early as you can and go with a guide. Hike takes you to the cross near top, and involves a bit of scrambling.

The hike is doable on your own, but I chose to go with Yanature. There are tricky parts that you climb which are trickier to go down. Wear shoes with traction (though many wore sneakers ). So worth it!

Start early to avoid intense sun and high temperatures. The last third of the trail right now is unsecured and ropes have been taken off. It is still possible to reach the top but avoid rainy hours.

Lovely scenic view with some sad stories to tell. The beach that runs alongside is magnificent.

2.5 or 3 hours roun trip hike . The route is not particularly clearly marked but just follow up and left after the green fenced gate 30 minutes in.

Don’t leave your trash behind please, respect the environment!
