Second visit after 2015. Quiet & friendly ambience at a picturesque village . Superb traditional dishes , delicious broiled lamb . The raki is a must (esp. the one with pomegranate )...
One of the best traditional Cretan tavernas! I recommend it for sure. Try the "strange" salad . You can take a twig of pepper for your garden ????
Traditional Cretan cooking. Nice setting, overall not as good as it used to be. Go for the lamb or the rabbit & the meze (cheese , rusks, stuffed vine leaves ). Avoid the grilled stuff (frozen meat)...
Excellent restaurant ! Don't be misunderstood by the yard with old guys drinking raki.The food is gourmet,with tasty cretan ingredients. The staff really friendly and the prices perfect.
Food in piperia is a zen experience :) Don't miss Talagani with tomato spoon sweet... Simply amazing
Great place for a Frappe if you've just walked 7km up a gorge.
