This temple has it all: 1) beautiful garden 2) bamboo section 3) little waterfalls 4) walkway up to view the whole complex. Again - manicured perfection ????

This temple 's garden was my favorite walk during my visit to Japan . The crowds are light approaching closing time, and the scenery is stunning. Highly recommend taking a walk here.

Beautiful wabi-sabi aesthetic and mesmerizing sand art whose methods of construction are a total mystery to me. Pro tip: there is no silver in the Silver Pavilion!

Lovely temple near the philosopher's path. Like their glorious gardens . A bit crowded .

We came here in the morning and it was really amazing, how quite and peaceful it was in the mossy forest . My favourite temple in Kyoto .

Kinkaku-ji is more spectacular, but the gardens here are beautiful, and the view from the top of the hill is not to be missed.

In the temple shop, you may ask to be served a tea prepared according the tea ceremony procedures. Love it. 500 yen.

The gardens around the temple are the highlight of this stop.

I liked this one more than Kinkaku-ji, the garden is truly beautiful. Also the Philosopher's path is nearby.

Very beautiful temple with sand "sculptures ". It's at the start of the philosopher's path, really convenient!

Very touristy area, considering how far out it is from downtown. Bus tours can mean long lines for tickets, but the place is really lovely. Not to be confused with Kinkaku-ji across town .

don't miss the tea and traditional cook in the store of souvenirs.

With their strolling garden , the temple grounds are an outstanding example of Japanese landscape architecture .

If you want to take photo of Ginkaku-ji, then only you go. The garden is nice. But Kinkaku-ji is more special.

Not as cool as Kinkaku-ji, but still fun to visit. Before you get to the temple , there are lots of fun cafes on the walkway .

Although it was busy, the grounds are beautiful and worth a visit.

Ginkakuji is not only about the pavilion like Kinkakuji. It's surroundings are very well balanced.

京都では有数の観光 地の一つ。室町幕府8代将軍足利義政公が、祖父の義満公が建てた金閣寺にならって、文明14年 (1482年) 山荘東山殿を建立したのが始まり。義政の死後、彼の遺言により臨済宗相国寺派の寺院 に改められ慈照寺 となった。初期の書院造りの遺構として貴重な東求堂と、2層の観音殿、それに白砂を盛り上げた庭園 が残る。観音殿は、銀箔を押す計画があったところから銀閣寺と呼ばれ、東求堂と共に国宝 。

総門をくぐると中門までの約50mに石垣・竹垣・椿の生垣の調和が見事な銀閣寺垣があり、中門から中に入ると波紋を表現した銀沙灘や、富士山型の公月台との美しい庭園 が広がっている。参道の途中にはお茶の井があり、足利義政の茶の湯にも用いられた湧き水として現在でもお茶会に使用。展望所からは銀閣寺全景を一望出来る。平成6年 (1994年) 「古都京都の文化財」の一つとして世界遺産 （文化遺産）に登録されている。

臨済宗相国寺派の寺院 であり山号は東山。観音殿の内部は一層を心空殿、二層を潮音閣と呼ぶ。心空殿は住宅風の書院造 、潮音閣では禅宗様風の仏堂風。仕切りのない1室であり、観音菩薩坐像を安置する。慈照寺 観音殿が銀閣と呼称されるようになったのは江戸時代以降で、銀箔は使用されていない事が特徴。特別名勝・特別史跡 に指定されている枯山水庭園 と池泉回遊式庭園 は善阿弥作と言われる。

오래된 숲이 뿜어내는 맑은 공기와 산책길, 오래되고 호젓한 멋이 있는 은각사. 원 계획대로 은박을 입혔다면 그냥 졸부스러운 단순한 관광지로 남았겠지만 주변 철학의 길과 잘어울리는 지금 이대로의 은각사여서 다행이다

【国宝 】 足利義政が自らの山荘・東山殿として建設 したもの。敷地内には会所、常御殿に加え観音殿、東求堂（銀閣）などが設けられていたが、義政の死後慈照寺 となった後、観音殿、東求堂以外は失われた。一階を書院造 の要素の濃い住宅風、二階を禅宗様を基調とした仏殿風にしつらえる。金閣とならぶ楼閣建築 の双璧。

El hermano del Kinkakuji. Este es el templo de plata. Precioso jardín Zen. recomendado una visita ????????????

境内の建物は華美でなく質素感がありますが、とにかく境内の庭園 が素晴らしいと思いました。 向月台に石庭、洗月泉、お茶の井など見どころたくさんあります。また、庭園 の苔も本当に美しい。

Очень красивый сад камней! И обзорная точка на город есть. Понравилось не меньше Золотого храма .

何と言っても庭園 が素晴らしいです。御朱印を貰う場合は入ったらすぐ渡し、出る時に受け取ります。出入口が狭いのでその対策かと思われます。

「銀閣寺之佳勝處，在於青苔。多種紅檜（或杉）、松樹、竹叢等。樹所寄根之地，皆覆以如絨之青苔般細草，呈現出除了綠之外的蒼黃，或另色之多層眼界。」- 舒國治《門外漢的京都》頁一四九

철학의 길을 산책하다보면 금각사보다 여유있는 시간을 보낼 수 있어요

생각보다 작은 규모의 절입니다. 뒤로 올라가면 은각사를 내려다볼 수 있는 전망대가 있어요.
