This is a must do in Boston! I have never seen anything like this before. Unfortunately, they do not allow cameras inside but you can buy a postcard in the gift shop for a keepsake.
The Mapparium is one of the coolest things I've seen in Boston. It is an inexpensive , 1/2 hour tour that you could definitely do as a study break or whenever you have some time to kill! Check it out!
The three-story-high spherical room is a vividly painted globe that gives visitors a unique, 3-D perspective of the world as mapped in 1935.
There is a required 5-minute tour every 20 minutes. You can go on it as many times in one day as you’d like.
Add this to your bucket list! Stand in the middle of the mapparium and whisper softly. Hear yourself immersed in surround sound care of the 3 story stained glass globe your in. Must see in Boston!
Its very cool!!! You should take the tour ! If u r not a student, the tour fair its 6.00$ totally worth it ;)
Amazing experience of visiting earth from inside
Fell in love with this place. The acoustics are amazing, would have loved to sing in here.
If you ever wanna see it like it really is, The Mapparium is the only place where the surface of the earth can be seen without distortion.
Absolutely gorgeous and the only thing worth seeing at the Mary Baker Eddy library .
Worth killing some time to see. Acoustics are crazy cool.
The map is pretty cool, but the museum or whatever it is in is pretentiously new agey and self-important.
A hidden gem :)
Great for curious people of all ages
Very unique experience. Conveniently located next to prudential center in downtown.
Really cool, though the tour is rather short .
Hear yourself in surround sound standing up n the middle of the mapparium sphere!
Fantastic place to visit. Well worth the low entrance fee!
Go ahead - be a kid. Stand under the opposite doors of the mapparium and whisper - "can u hear me?" to each other :-)
Lean over the edge of the railing to check out Antarctica, but don't fall over!
It is an amazing exhibit !
No Camera are allowed in the presentation of the mapparium :(
