Consistently the best hotel I’ve stayed at. Not the poshest, the largest, the most grand or sophisticated. But the hotel I most enjoy spending time at.Outstanding restaurant , friendly staff . Fab decor

Stunning food, place & service. Such a treat for a Friday afternoon on our way back to London. Really enjoyed checking their grounds & beyond beautiful ‘kitchen garden ’. Highly recommend it.
The pigeon was amazing, loved the piggy bits and a great choice of gins too. Forget the bank balance and treat yourself.
Stayed overnight on a Sunday in a Snug Room....great bar , cosy lounge areas with open fires (yes they were needed), lovely gardens and restaurant food was tasty...will be back
We stayed in one of the sheds. It was so cosy and well decorated. The bath is great. The food from the restaurant is even better.

Very nice style with multiple log fires. The bath chap is an interesting dish, worth a try but quite fatty. The Mulled Cider was quite tart and over spiced. Service seemed a bit sloppy

The food and experience lived up to the reputation as being very good.
If you stay here, you are clearly here to eat at the restaurant . Do it! Have afternoon tea in the fantastic bar served til 530ish.
