Bahrain Fort is a castle located in Bahrain.
Bahrain
Strolling along the archaeological site of Qal’at al-Bahrain is the best way to discover this ancient heritage . For great sea views and stunning sunsets make your way down to a small terrace nearby.
Tricky to find by GPS but well worth the effort. Fantastic fort and also and excellent museum . Fort is free entry and BD 2 per person for the museum . Did not realise Bahrain had such a rich history.
A great place to go for a walk when it's cool outside. Has some amazing views of the old city and the new.
Interesting day out to explore Bahrain’s heritage . Audio tour worth getting to explain the history of the site.
The place to go to learn a little bit of history and relax alongside with nature...perfect spot to chill
Plan your trip to the fort before sunset so you can see in daylight sunset and at night.
Enjoy a tour through history by visiting Bahrain Fort ... don't forget to wear sport shoes to be comfortable in walking around.
I like it alot + it's good for walking & jogging as there is a track around the castle ????????
Worth to see,or run around it especially at sunset time!
The fort has a very nice sea view , don't come early as there is no hiding from the sun. The museum has an interesting layout too. Bring your own water as 1.3BD for a small bottle is a joke.
The corridor right after the entrance of the Fort... shot taken by my Samsung S7 edge ???? during my daily run ???? & workout ????
You can access the fort without going to the museum inside. And keep a water bottle with you up there you'll need it.
Truly fascinating historical perspective on the region
Amazing place to visit. There is a museum and a coffee shop . Good for photographers
Magical place✨
The Fort itself is free but the museum is BHD 2 (includes audioguide for Fort)
The Fort is free but the museum is BHD 2. Audioguide for Fort at museum
Go the museum first to get the device that will guide you through the fort
Nice place to spend time but careful with the cost of the menu at the cafe .
Last fortified in the early 16th century, the earliest settlements at the fort date back to 2800 B.C.
