Must if you are in town . Very nice place and view on Lubljan. The place is really well renewed! Also go see video about castle history it suprisingly fun!
Pay ONLY 2,20€ for the elevator on the way up and just wander inside the citadel walls. Then just walk down one of the trails around the castle . Nice citadel though with nice cafés !
2 reach it, several small paths lead up frm old town , v took the path via the Studentovska pot. Ahem, a certain fitness level is required..pant..pant, or take the funicular next to the Puppet Theatre .
This castle has been a distinctive symbol of the city for as many as 900 years. At first, it was a fort, then a regional governor, later on, a prison .
Best city view from top of the tower, must buy ticket and climb! Also you will learn a lot about the history of Slovenia in the museum . I can hardly stop my tears while reading about the World War II.
Great 360° view over the city . Small tour costs 3 eur for students which is great value for money since you get access to the tower, museum of slovenian history and virtual castle tour . Loved it! :)
Go up with the funicular and go down by foot along one of the paths available. It's a bit expensive to go inside, but you can walk around a little and have a nice view even if you don't pay
Fun funicular ride with great views of the city and well preserved shell of hill side castle
It's the best castle I visited so far. Get the app audio guide instead of the traditional one. It'll turn the whole castle into one big scavenger hunt. It's thoroughly awesome.
Don’t miss the view at sunset !!
Beautifully renovated. Great views from the castle tower. Excellent exhibits within the gothic chapel.
Highest point in the city with the best views . Tickets to the viewing point are 13€ and the funicular up to the castle is 2€.
The city 's absolute must visit. Great view of the city . It's worth to walk up, just skip leg day at gym ????.
Great views for free from the balcony and surrounding paths. Ana Ros and husband have a hand in Gostilna Na Gradu (#25 on the map), a restaurant in the castle courtyard .
I don't really like castles but this one impressed me. It's a perfectly renovated Castle that combines fancy modernity with ancient elements. Very elegant! Great view and nice restaurants .
Get the funicular ticket cost 8€ & entitle for viewing tower & slovenian history . Great view of the city from the tower
Amazing views on the city and the mountains . The castle museum is fun and very informative on Slovenia 's history.
Great view of the city . Cute and of course touristy but worth a visit. Calligraphy bookmarks with your name/text are cool;)
St. George's Chapel is one of the oldest parts of Ljubljana Castle . It is decorated with 15th century frescoes and 1747 wall paintings of the coats of arms of provincial governors.
Perched on top of Castle Hill and dominating the city skyline to the south, Ljubljana’s magnificent castle is one of the city 's main attractions . Read more
Not too big, not too impressive, and is actually a mix of old and new architecture . Good location for picnic , bring some snacks and enjoy.
the view from tower.. but u have to spend 6€ for that. the virtual tour is just 15min video dont go.
Best spot to see the city from, it's a must when you are in Ljubljana you have to walk there and visit.
You can take the funicular if you don't like trekking but you'll miss the fun :) the view is amazing at the top ????
You get a view over Ljubljana and the mountains and you don't even have to walk up too much. Perfect for romantic walks
Slovenia , Slovakia, Penn's Sylvania, Three-toed sloths, and Paul Simon's song, "Slip-Sliding Away." There's something special for everyone with the letters, "S" & "L."
Entrance fee of 7,50 euro for the tower is too much. Just spend 2,20 euro on the funicular for the way up, wander around and take one of the paths down to the center.
Great interactive exhibition and guided tours . Wait for the sunset at the top of the tower - it's amazing!
Quite a walk to get there but worth every step. Magnificent view of the city and the alps in the distance.
Must-visit if it's your first time. The view from the too is gorgeous and the castle itself is nice.
I loved the story of the castle and the view all over the city . There are many museum inside
there is lot to walk and too steep. you can try the tram sort of facility. 8euro for tram + castle tower and virtual tour .
The best place to learn about Slovenian history . Afterwards you can relax and enjoy the view .
Great view of the city , a restaurant , and there's usually something going on - a must see when visiting Ljubljana.
Free wifi around the bar inside the castle . You can also visit many parts of the castle for free including some of the towers.
A must visit in Ljubljana for obvious reasons ????
Very good for walking. Nice view to over The city
Everybody will die one day... There isn't historical objects enough in the castle
Very good for children, as you can have a coffee in peace when the little ones run around!
It is nice place for curious walking and amazing top view at Ljubljana town
Yeah, it isn't that special. For the best views , you have to pay for the tower visit.
A good view of the city can be seen here ????
Generally it's okay, but except of the viewing tower not that special. There are many ways closed and the nice parts of the castle are not accessible.
Summer Movies under the stars festival is magic and has good repertoire selection.
Very nice castle . Definitely worth a visit.
Ljubljana's largest sight and the one offering the best view of the city .
There's a nice view of the city from the viewing tower but other than that, it was nothing special. Very difficult to navigate
Went up during the night, super beautiful and scenic !
The views are great and the food in the restaurent is also good and not overpriced.
Great view though not worth paying to get in, outside it is already beautiful.
Best view of our capital. Entrance fee is at bit harsh at 6€. - Jernej
