The typical Maltese cooking is a Mediterranean poor cooking: if you like it you love it and I love it. In Gululu I found a fabulous atmosphere, polite staff and a beautiful view .
So it's quite expensive (depend on how you feel spending 20 euro on plate) ???? but it's totally worth it. Rabbit is awesome, so tasty. ???? Try ftira , Maltese pizza , but with a slightly different dough ????
I had a fried rabbit and it was good. I am not a big fan of meat with bones and this had many small bones in it but for meat lovers, it's really good!
Traditional Maltese dishes. Try sheep cheese and rabbit and of course house red wine
Make sure you book as it gets very busy in the evenings - and request an outdoor or terrace table. Traditional and delicious Maltese food & drinks (even locals go here)
Probably the best Maltese kitchen in the town .. Well serviced, delicious samples of Maltese fine dinning, especially you must try dips ,ftira and laham..
Excellent octopus , pizza/frijra and pasta . I would however ignore what is says on the website about them showing football matches, you will be disappointed. Just go there for the food and the view
fresh food -friendly staff - Tuna Moqli, Tuna Salad (july tuna festival ) Tasty calamari , and all the stuff with rabbit are great #kcina #Maltija
This is the place to go if you want to try some authentic Maltese food ! Definitely try the ftira , Maltese bread from a wood-fired oven!
The food is amazing. Great view , wonderful stuff and reasonable prices. That s more than what a traveller may ask for! Will definitely be coming back!
Try the tuna steak - they know how to sear it properly. And leave some room for the fried dates pastry .
This is probably the only place in the area that has great maltese food options. The ftira is a must try and for adventurous meat loving tourists try the rabbit !
U can Try Malta 's traditional food . Fried rabbit is the best. Maltanın yöresel yemeklerini deneyebileceğiz iyi yerlerden biri. Bezelyeli kızarmış tavşan çok başarılı. Denemeden maltadan dönmeyin.
Ftira and Speghetti w/Rabbit was great. Octopus is about as render as you can get, as well . Reasonably priced on food and wine with great service.
It was very nice trip to Malta and we ended our staying in this restaurant . Nice food, kind stuff, good atmosphere. It was fun.
The spaghetti rabbit is superb! Nice Maltese wine too. Make a reservation to sit outside.
We had the suffocated chicken and rabbir bellies. Well cooked full of flavour. It was a little bit crowdy so you better make a reservation .
The food itself is nice and well cooked but as a general remark, Maltese cuisine could do better with the ingredients. The service is friendly and quick and the place looks really nice.
I love everything about this place! Fantastic food, wine , atmosphere, and great value for money . My personal favorite in Malta !
Don't take omlette pasta , it's too dry. Good rest of the food though. Excellent service . Phenomenal mezze !(dips )
Try the garlic fried rabbit . It's GOOD. The potato that comes with it is the best potato I've ever had. Magnum cider goes well with it.
If you're looking for real Maltese cuisine , this is the place. The Ftira biz-Zejt is delicious and the Torti are also spectacularly good. Get either the rabbit or chicken & pumpkin . Yum.
A fantastic location. Delicious food. ‘Mezis’ Appetisers are fresh and tasty.
Friendly service , fresh seafood and good selection of wine . Reservation required during weekends!
One of the best places that serve traditional Maltise food. Try the ftira and the fish cakes .
Instead of starter, order the meze platter with hummus , bigilla etc! As a main, the rabbit-pasta is really good!
Local fish seems to be worth trying. Especially with a glass of Maltese wine . Beef steak is marvelous.
Traditional maltese cuisine (kind of). The setting is very informal and turistic but it worths a try.
Can't help feeling this is overrated on Foursquare. Decent but not spectacular food, same goes for the service. Best thing is the location. My dessert (local variation on trifle) was dreadful.
Fantastic maltese food . Great Ftira , very good baby squids and dips . Not so good the octopus salad ...
Calamari is perfect. Perfect if you are looking for local maltese cuisine.
Excellent food, specially the octopus
The best Maltease food. Try ftira (the meaty one) and spaghetti with rabit sauce.
Good example of local Maltese cuisine. Ask for pulpetti choice and local ftira
Very nice small tables by the sea, nice Maltese traditional cuisine .
Try the lemon sherbet , big cristals, as it is really homemade , but the taste is outstanding.
Excellent terras, great food and very good service , a must visit.
Slow cooked chicken was lush and the pork in wine sauce was divine.
Tried the rabbit . Tasty and delicious with a really generous serving .
So tasty place! Taste meat balls , goat cheese & olives in special Maltese marinade !
Slow cook chicken was luscious and pork in wine sauce was divine.
Enjoy the place, the food and the staff !!!
Food is very good. Unfortunately we did not get good customer service and waited ages for attention for absolutely everything. Even paying took 20 minutes.
Try Ftira i-forn, same as pizza but different, my favourite is tal-qaliet. Only available for dinner
Nothing really special, despite they known as one of best Maltese cuisine. Client-oriented, but cheaper prices and better quality you can find in Ta-Kris and Maltese mama.
Great location and polite staff ! Salats, pizza and coffe is really bad. ????
The rabbit dished and seafood are very well , the place is great and a wonderful view
Nice food, although the famous rabbit pasta was a bit tasteless. A tiny bit overpriced. They will add 1.50€ to your pasta if you have it as main dish: seriously, how else could you eat pasta ?
Great location and lovey fresh seafood
Reservations needed to get a table outside . Right on the bay .
Very nice ambience and location. Lobster, fish soup and prawns are highly recommended. Reservation is required coz it's always busy. - Sultan Alhamidi
Everything is good, fish is excellent, virtually inexpensive, but please do not provide dessert list if most of them are simply missing... - Bruno de Giusti
Beautiful view, nice place for a walk and to watch the sea. Plenty of restaurants around. - Henry
Amazing homemade soups to accompany a tasty Sunday roast! Very friendly staff - Lila de la Chesnaye
