A quiet hidden pub with a good story behind it and cheese and meet selection that is arguably better than its beer selection - tho that's definitely a compliment
A little on the pricey side, but it's away from the usual City of London folk and has a good character and vibe. Friendly staff , too.
As many mass-produced beers as craft beers available in this bar . Craft Beer was from Meantime, Redemption and Sambrooks when I visited. And the pints of Wandle that we ordered was off.
Landlady a bit of a tyrant - making you move off reserved tables when they haven't arrived yet - we are adults we will move. Nice bar though
The phrase 'hidden gem ' is over-used. But this is the dictionary definition. Victorian tiles in a subterranean drinking den. Like very much.
Considering the declaration for craft beer , there is a disappointing selection here. But nice surrounds and will be back to check the food.
Cheese , Pork Pies , Scotch Eggs , Hams and Bread .
Sausage rolls and pork pies
Great little bar

Tortilla do good burrito wraps and Chopped do a good selection of warm salads, the falafel and hummus one is great - Joe Mochan
Hidden down alleyways on the site of the first London coffee house. Beautiful building and interior. Great real ales from Shepherd Neame brewery. - Carl Griffin
