Beautiful, quite well preserved arena, with a lot of modern accents though (concerts are given). Location near the sea makes it extra special. Big disadvantage: parking in Pula is hell!
I don't know if it worth to check from the inside because you can see everything from the outside and the 50 HRK you saved you can spend on a meal. But the monument itself is stunning and amazing.
Beaaautiful.I wanted to see their gladiator show but unfortunately they have it between June-September. They also have film festivals here between August-July. Would love to come again just for them!
The sixth largest Roman amphitheatre in the world, in the 1st century it hosted mainly gladiator fights . Today, thankfully, this has been replaced with rock concerts , opera, ballet and ice hockey . Read more
Entrance was only 20kn for the students and it was very interesting inside! You can also go to the exhibition , or rent gladiators costumes to take photos in it. Enjoyed it
Beautiful place, we were here in the early morning and it was empty! We had the place to ourselves.
Amazing theatre , worth visiting! You can walk more freely here than in Colosseum .
Nice ruins that in some details looks like colosseum in Italy. One of the most interesting places in Istria
The mix of old stone structures with a modern stage scaffolding and music was pretty cool. It's neat from the outside, but we didn't go on.
Go down to the exhibition of Amphoras , thousands of years history of the place and see the machine for olive oil production
Nice old town , mostly friendly people. Very busy in tourist season. Make sure you bring coins for the parking meter!
Absolutely no signage or markers to read in the arena. Consider paying 40HRK extra for very average and slightly confusing audio tour . Amphitheater itself is a must see
This is a truly amazing structure . Grab you a few cold brews and bask under its glory.
Very nice, but I was in shock that here some concerts take place. Wow, it should be wonderful!
It’s a fantastic place for a simply holidays with a nice drop of history.
Fantastic place. You can make your best photos here. Explore the walls and find who lives within )
Extra ordinary monument . Check out the exhibition under the arena.
Walk around it. No need to go in. The views are beautiful
Historical monument ... fairer Eintrittspreis inkl.
Lots of parking available, on street or car park next to Arena. 15kn per hour. Coins or credit card (via PayDo app)
Nice place with several events at nighttime.
Great monument , well preserved, good guide and no modern changes.
I was looking forward to see some bloody fights inside. Instead they installed temporary move theater in the arena.

Third big roman arena in the world. Recomended
The Pula Amphitheater or Arena is one of the six largest Roman amphitheaters in the world.
Basically the main attraction in Pula, pretty hard to miss.
Impressive theatre , although not really spectacular from then inside. Audio guides were not available. I hurt my foot badly, any plaster or first aid are none of their business.
The most famous monument , popularly called the Arena of Pula, was the site of gladiator fights .
Utazz a multba!
Absolutely divine at sunset .
Arena romana

Massimoooó!!!!
Through here is the Zerostrasse, a series of tunnels underneath Pula. Supposedly in the summer evenings this is the place to be: lots of food, music, and vendors. We just missed it though! - Remo Malarik
Basically the very middle of the city center. Just wander through the streets til you get to the top. Wander around outside on the ramparts to get some good views. - Remo Malarik
Another nice historical monument from the ancient times. This is a gate to the old town. - Fatal Bazooka
