This place honors Houston's Diversity, first visit and already love it, vintage decor nothing fancy , friendly staff , cold beers only bottles and cans, had the Chicken BLT + Chips . Cheap !

The chicken fried steak is delicious. All the burgers are amazing. I find myself going back for the chopped steak more than anything and I can't get enough of their Brussels sprouts .

Buffalo Wings can be quite spicy , ask for ranch sauce . Place is everything you're expecting for an 'American' restaurant : an authentic museum of curiosities, and its people is very kind and helpful.

Was in town for business and love going to local places. Saw others recommended the chicken fried steak so I had to check it out. It was very good! Will definitely be back.

Couldn't be any cuter! Our server looked like a 50's housewife in her precious aprons. We were scolded for being on our phones during meal time. Lol we had brunch and it was delicious.

Outdoor patio (kid-friendly) will be nice when the weather permits. Inside has an Austin-like feel. Good food & service. Breakfast is served all day!

The open face meatloaf burger/sandwich is a beast! Includes an onion ring on top with a fried egg inside the ring. Comes with mash potatoes and a side of fried pickles . A terrific first time treat!

The playground / sandbox area is great for the kiddos but keep in mind this place is a full blown bar at night. There are little pieces of glass outside of the sandbox so get their shoes on outside!

Daughter-in-Law Veggie Burger is amazing! My boyfriend really enjoys the Chicken Fried Steak and the Mac and cheese , however he said the okra was bland.

By far, one of the best black bean burgers in town topped with generous slices of avocado and cheese . Don't forget the fried green beans !

Like the way 59 Diner on Shepherd used to be a long time ago. The prices are about the same and with more of a twist on the southern diner experience. Also a sandbox like Lupe's Tortilla .

Grilled cheese is large and in charge. You've gotta order their fried pickles , too!

Family friendly . Good place to come if you have a toddler that wont sit for very long. They have a big sandbox.

Food can be salty and so can the waitstaff . Great food when it comes, fun place with good music .

Had the melon punch and fried pickles . Both were great. Our bartender , Lorraine I believe, was super nice.

The peach cobbler IS good. However it is a bit on the sweet side and a little light on the dough and peaches (soupy).
