Very busy but very cool place if your visiting! Great selection of IPAs . Menu is small but delicious. Outside seating with heaters, inside and downstairs seating as well . Very friendly staff / locals.
Amazing place. They have sour ales (check their sister location Funkatorium). Try beef tartare and popcorn :))
Flavored ???? ?!
I asked a friend what breweries to try, besides the obvious Wicked Weed, while I was in asheville. He said to go to wicked weed 3 times, then go anywhere else. Seriously, it's the best brewery in town
THE place in Asheville to get your hops on! Check out the 24 taps in the downtown tasting room , and the Freak of Nature Double IPA is a must for all hop heads.
Asheville, NC's most popular brew pub . The menu includes all manner of offerings; IPAs , Stouts , Pils, Weizens, Unfiltered & Sours too. Some of these have a serious kick. My favorite? #PerniuciousIPA
I have not had a bad brew here. The saisons are amazing, Freak is awesome, the the wet hoped brews that are on right now are really tasty as well . Not to mention the food! Not what I expected!
This place is huge and amazing. Grab a bite upstairs (outdoor seating !) or head down to the tasting room (also outdoor seating !?) to try a variety of hoppy brews.
Arguably the best brewery in Asheville. Every beer they produce is a reference for the style. Do not miss this place. Outdoor space in the back is the place to be here for tasting. Excellent pub food
Here you will find some of the choicest hops in Asheville. Grab the Hop Burglar if it happens to be on tap .
If the bar is packed, head downstairs to enjoy 28 taps vs. the 20 they have upstairs. It’s also a great place to enjoy a cocktail prior to catching a show at The Peel.
Excellent craft beer bar . Upscale vibe with lower-level to get your corn-hole fix. Overall, just a cool place to enjoy world-class brew with your work crew!
If they're full to capacity you'll be waiting in line outside. Then when you get inside you get on the waiting list for a table. The beer is worth it.
If you are into craft beers this place is a must. Beers are expertly brewed and sours are phenomenal. Make sure you vist the bar downstairs. Staff is well versed on beer and food is awesome.
Great selection of both the old favorites and seasonal brews . Awesome outdoor seating . Don’t miss the downstairs taproom.
This is one of our faves in Asheville. Amazing beer , fabulous good, and awesome staff . You can’t ask for more.
Excellent craft beer selections , tasty food menu and high energy place!! It's a fun place. Love sitting at the bar . Best craft beer place in Asheville. Try the flights!
Saisons . They are all amazing! Drinking the X passion fruit right now and it's great. Also tasted the XII peach habanero and it was awesome but no way I could drink a whole pint! Awesome beer !
sampler flights are well-priced, and some of the best boiled peanuts I've ever had - great place to spend an hour or two before a show next door at the orange peel
Loved all the beers . Freak IPA was a FREAK of an IPA . Favorite was the Porch something- raspberries and strawberries in an 8.7% glass of awesome. Bourbon tripel tasted like bourbon - delish!
Really good beer , even took a few togo. The Black IPA was really good. Creative menu that was executed well while the restaurant was on a 45 min wait. Can't wait to go back.
Best side is Brussel Sprouts . Best beer is the Serenity Wild Ale - truly incredible! Best brew pub in Asheville overall (atmosphere, depth of selection, food quality, service)
If you want a bigger beer selection , head to their downstairs bar and patio . Dog friendly , great beer , what's not to love?
This brewery has a great atmosphere. Also it is the first ever southeast brewery to win a coveted medal for an IPA (Pernicious IPA ) at the Great American Beer Festival .
Great place! Dark Age Bourbon Stout is beyond amazing!!! Add pimento cheese to the fried chicken sandwich . It doesn't sound like it would work with the kimchi but it does. Trust me.
Probably the best brewery in a town full of great breweries .
Free pretzels and the bar . Very friendly and knowledgable bartenders . Decent late night menu, but the great stuff is served from the main menu.
An Asheville staple. Great setup and great selection of craft brews . Try the funkatorium as well for an even more unique selection
Great atmosphere indoors/outdoors, extensive craft beer selection , great food!
Anything on the menu with a can icon is sold in stores. So try something without a can for a unique draft .
Oh my goodness the classic grass fed burger and sweet potatoes fries were delicious! I complemented that with chromatic ipa . So good!
The beers are not your ordinary pilsners and lagers , but if you're feeling adventurous you can find some real gems here. The food is excellent.
Great beer selection . If you go, check out the Tap Room downstairs. They have a nice outdoor area and it is pet friendly .
We were pretty skeptical about eating here, but quickly changed our tune after our appetizers and meals. High attention to flavors and quality! (Not always the case at breweries !)
Order a flight, sit outside and listen to some bluegrass ????
Great promotional events , great brews, free water and pretzels with horseradish mustard !? I mean c'mon, you can't beat that. All around a neat place.
All the sours I had were great, as were the fried chicken sandwich , beef tartar and falafel . The head brewer, Rob, is handsome.
The coolcumber beer is my personal favorite. I also like that they have half pints so you can try lots of different kinds because they have so many!
Great beers , solid food, kewel space, nice hipster staff , all in a fun city . It's a must-go to spot when in Asheville.
Wonderful beers selection . Great service in a pretty cool atmosphere. Cheers...????
Huge selection of IPAs . Menu is wicked. Never heard of a tea egg but a few in our party thought it was great. Chinook Me All Night Long IPAD was a fav.
Great service, excellent food, and we really enjoyed the 'monstrous' Freak DIPA, the 'West coast style' East Side IPA , and their Sweet Talker Session IPA .
Tried two different IPAs . Both excellent. Make sure to try the candied Brussels sprouts as an addition to any meal.
Great calamari ! Very nice low key spot, wait staff is great, try the kumquat saison !
The food is pretty good, great atmosphere, and you can't go wrong with any of their beers . Just drink what you like!
Favorite brewery in Asheville. Never had a bad beer . Food is awesome too.
Opt for one of their boutique burgers or the artisanal cheese plate . Both pair well with the Refraction IPA .
World class beers . Some of the nicest staff . Food menu and choices are excellent.
The Freak of Nature is my favorite Asheville beer so far. Their black bean burger is amazing & I'm not a vegetarian .
Tasting room menu is different from upstairs- the most amazing MUSSELS and chickpeas are ONLY upstairs, for example. But always a good menu regardless.
This is a great brewery. Inventive beers. IMHO the best beer in Asheville. - Jamie Allison
Unpretentious, warehouse atmosphere. Great beer. Great staff. I can't wait to go again. - Steve Brownlee
The Kettle Corn is delicious and so are the beers. The Brown especially. - Jason Freeman
The staff are friendly and helpful, lots of local brew on tap with very reasonable prices. Sound system is awesome!! Very warm and intimate venue. - Chris Files
Great beers are always on tap - they go very well with the garlic knots. Mmmm - L Miller
My favorite of the many establishments we visited on our trip to Asheville. The Fat Tire Pretzel Bites were delicious as were several of the drafts we tried. Thumbs up! - Paul McRae
