Absolutely worth a visit. Its functionalist architecture and design might not seem like much from the outside, but the inside offers serene peace and beautiful paintings by Henrik Sørensen.

Wonderful place, pure architecture
Inaugurated in 1950, Oslo City Hall is the city 's administrative body and the seat of the City Council. It is decorated by great Norwegian artists from the period 1900-1950.
That actually looks pretty ugly so I was happy with a sole picture from a bit further away... ^^
Very nice fresco 's of Norwegian social and national history
Very scenic place , and you can visit a lot of the decorated halls.
The paintings on the walls inside are definitely inspired by Soviet Union
Free entry, really interesting floor to ceiling mural wall paintings
A great example of mid-century brutalist Nordic architecture
Good area to be around in summer.
Not as nice as others in Europe or Northern Europe. It seems like a fortress
