This welcome center is right by the falls and is where you go for Journey Behind the falls (worth it) and Niagara's Fury (geared towards younger children). It has multiple restraunts and tourist shops - Holly Bowen
Wonderfully scenic park with excellent views of the Falls. Much more natural and relaxing than the Canadian side. Definitely worth a visit. - Michael Holdsworth
Go on the whirlpool rapids hike. It's about a 2 mile hike leaving from whirlpool rapids state park and has some of the best scenery I saw during my stay in Niagara. - Cody Craine
