Worth a visit, but a tourist trap. Most package tours do not included the 110,000 VND entry fee so bring cash! If you can afford it, best to get a taxi & go early to avoid crowds. They open at 7am.
A little of history. Need a guide to show you around because most attractions are hidden from the eye. Shooting range is great
These tunnels are really small, and really hot. After you make it to a room, you'll want to pay one of those skinny little girls to pull you back out by your arms - bring a skateboard to lay on!
Simply a MUST VISIT destination - fascinating construction and history. I'm fairly claustrophobic but the tunnels you go down we're nothing to worry about. Just need strong calf muscles !
Enjoyable & interesting. If you have the time, rather than this one, the ones at Ben Duoc are more authentic , these are modified for tourists . The shooting range at the end is strange though....
Amazing tunnels . Best done with a guide. You can go through a small section of the tunnels , but it's not for claustrophobics .
Take your time to experience a (small) part of the massive 250km tunnel system. You'll be able to crawl through the very narrow tunnels , which makes you wonder how they lived in there during the war!
The tunnel system bring good effect for VC guerillas in period anti Imperial American 1954-1975,Cu Chi has a very famous nickname:"National Iron Citadel/Thành Đồng Tổ Quốc"
250km of tunnels were built to support communication and supply lines , weapons caches, hospitals and living quarters. After 7 years of fighting this hidden city lead to the final military success.
This "museum " could have been much more interesting. It takes a quite a while to get here from Saigon, and eventually you could go through this place in like less than an hour. Nevertheless, enjoyable
This was one of the battlefields during the US-Vietnam war. May be exhausting to walk around but it'll be a unforgettable experience. ps: they have shooting range too!
Very interesting historical place to visit . There are around 45,000 person dead in this area.
Lots of history and interesting to know the guerella tactics and the tunnel to fight the war
Sorry too far. In a min bus for 3.5 hours to get there. 3hrs back. Taken to some locals house for a meal. Must have been the guides mum. Temple good and take some nuts for thr monkeys.
beware foreigners! there is bullet made souvenir here. don't own any of it because it's made from real, but used military equipment, you won't be able to pass the airport xray luggage scan!
Worth doing to understand how horrific it must have been. Can be very hot here. Firing range seems wholly inappropriate.
a bit far to Saigon but worth to see, you can take local tours to see tunnels and caodai temple
Amazing living history. Live shooting with real bullets . Tunnels are the best part of adventure.
It will be hot. Either be at the front of the line in the tunnel or wait until everyone else has gone through.
A place worthwhile visiting & learning. There is a place for shooting too, try it! It's using real bullets .
Don't buy their bullet (lighter) souvenir. Customs will confiscate it even if you check it in. It's the big Vietnamese Con Job! Shame on you Vietnam!
Many traps made in this area. It was designed to capture animal but it turns out to be the Americans.....
Amazing place. Opportunity to touch the history.
Vietnamese people in the same group with foreigners should be ready to translate, as there aren't enuf tour guides who can speak foreign languages. This includes the short intro after the film show.
If you go for the tunnels , there are two, the first one with LOTS of bats and no light and the second one all the way around. Good luck.
You must go in the tunnel and take the typical photo
Testament to humanity, survival & ingenuity. Tunnels have to be seen but not if you are claustrophobic ... Eerie & amazing at once.
Construction of Cu Chi tunnel suitable for Vietnamese, not for American.Watch out the people in front of you "leak" the "human gas" inside tunnel ,ha ha,need mask gas
Great attraction to learn more about vietnam war history and an unique experience to go through the tunnels .
Very adventurous place. A must visit place
A full day trip here MUST include a visit to the Bến Dược Martyrs' Memorial Temple opposite the car park , which is decorated in traditional Vietnamese architecture .
This is really a must see adventure. Tunnel network used by the Viet Congs during the war. A truly nightmare for the Americans!
The shooting range is a bit of a morbid feature for this tourist spot. It's as if they let you turn the gas chamber valve at Auschwitz.
Great tourist location. When going in tunnels , best is to walk and duck, rather than crawl, if possible
A must do if you’re visiting - but not for anyone with claustrophobia
FYI- There are worms and bees in tunnels .. But still you can manage to go.. Temp 40'C
If you want to get in the tunnels , wear old/dark clothes - on a wet day it is close to impossible to get through them clean .
Sometime we should learn not expect too much... If it value sight so just go on with it. Here much better than other place to visit in hcmc
Amazing to learn about how and why these tunnels were built. Crawling them were claustrophobic . Don't go in the real onesif you get scared of pitch blackness
Great tour . Good to get a different side of the story.
Amazing tunnels plan & trap, with tire sandal tricks ????????????????
The main tunnel in Củ Chi where most people visit is called 'Bến Dược Tunnel ' in official maps and signs in this area.
Definitely worth doing. If u can, get there by boat! Much more relaxing
Impressing to learn how the Viet Cong did hide in the tunnels . Overall very touristy . That they offer to shoot real guns there is just repellently disgusting!!
Must do for anyone visiting Saigon
You have to try the shooting range to fire some bullets from AK47.. And M16
You can shoot from real AK47 , M16 or other guns for 35000VND/bullet and minimum is 10bullets.
Good learning experience on the vietnamese war.
Try out the tunnel to 100m .its good experience
Definitely a Must-Visit!
45k and 40k dong per round for Ak47 and M16 respectively. Minimum 10 rounds required. - TC Boi
Good experience, learn how they build this tunnels for almost 20 years. Hot tapioca will be served along the way for tourist. It's a Long car ride from HCMC to Cu Chi. - チュ リー
Very good food, friendly staff, great city. There is nothing more to say. Go and visit. - Dirk Depenbrock
Nice to eat on the riverside. - Bill Healey
