Set back in a secluded yard off the High Street. Very friendly service and great real ales .

They'll even sort you out with lunch when you turn up an hour after food service is finished... with your Dad on Fathers Day... cheers guys! Steak was lush ;-) and saved me from being red faced. Haha

Cider Mike

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT: and they now have a one or two ales , and a real cider pump - Brill! All is forgiven.

Ben Fry

Try the Open Mic night on Wednesday, good beer and good music

Lovin the mussels ... And enjoying Pimms and lemonade (in the rain- but I guess you can't have it all!) x

Cider Mike

Don't drink here, drink in Walters or Nellies. There's no real cider and the real ale (if any) is badly kept... obviously this may change but that's MY personal experience.

Cider Mike

The new licensee is now selling real cider ! Result.

Sconepal Natalie

Try the Scampi and Chips

Kitten sitting in the window on the second floor :-)

Woo hoo! Old Rosie on draught now!

Holly Golightly

Food cheap - £4 for Fish & Chips , but service a bit slow.

Graham Beale

If you want a quick meal , don't come here

Owned by the same folk that run the Lion and Key (I think) so if you like one you'll like the other. Great beers, friendly staff and a cracking rum selection. Try Old J or Corsair Spiced. - Pete Clark

Curry nights every Thursday is a must for all curry lovers - tasty and spicy for those who like some kick to it but also milder versions. Food is nice and good selection of beers on tap as well. - Inge Hassel
