@ DavidW and ArdenK, the airport is really huge so maybe you were in the wrong place! There's some delicious restaurants in FCO as the Wine bar Frescobaldi (very famouse italian wine house) or icecrea

If you're going to Milan, there's a dedicated security check on the left side near the crew entrance

Surprisingly, it is fairly easy to find the service one may need to get at FCO T1, everybody is absolutely helpful.

Una sala fumatori al Terminal B e basta. Internet che non e' il massimo . Da Frescobaldi e' meglio bere solo i vini bianchi perche ' quelli rossi hanno tutti lo stesso sapore
