The Shah Mosque (Imam Mosque) is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its construction began in 1611, ordered by Abbas I of Persia. It is one of the masterpieces of Persian architecture in the Islamic era. Its splendour is due to its seven-color mosaic tiles and calligraphic inscriptions.

شگفت انگيزترين بناي اسلامي كه تا حالا ديدم اينجا بود. بزرگي خارق العاده همه چيز در مسجد امام تا ظرافت كاشي كاري ها، همشون حس فوق العاده زيبا و پرمعنايي دارند. از جاهاييه كه هزاربار هم برم خسته نميشم.
