If you want kolaches on the weekend you better get there early. They are incredibly delicious and go quickly. Nice midway stop from Houston to Austin, especially since the bathrooms are always clean .

The best Czech food is in gas stations . To taste Czech culture and a delicious kolache or klobasniky, head to Hruska's in Ellinger or head down the road to Weikel’s Bakery in La Grange.

A smaller version of Praesek's further south, Hruška's carries lots of overpriced trinkets for tourists , lots of delicious homemade sweets, and even features Praesek's meats. A great roadside stop.

Tried the tasty, heated ham & cheese jalapeño kolache . Also a cinnamon raisin roll, cream cheese and peach kolache . All were fresh and doughy goodness. Will definitely stop by the next time.

Heard they had great pies but there was no pie 😞 I guess they ran out. They do have really delicious danish variety packs that cured that sweet craving. Great coffee . Cookies are delicious too!

A must-stop on the way to Austin. Get the pan sausage kolaches for a real treat. And yes, you want them warmed up.

1.) Koláče (Kolache ) is plural. It doesn't need the S at the end. 2.) If it has meat and cheese it in, it's a klobasnek, which is not a koláč.

Burgers are great but not very to-go friendly . Very moist/juicy. You will wear the burger if you try to eat and drive.
