Very impressive collection of Romanian and European art displayed over 4 floors.

Atmosphere on the Calea Victoria. Former Royal Palace . The Royal Family now live at Elisabeta Palace near Lacul Herăstrău.

Former Royal Palace and one of the places Regina Ana lay in state after her death in August 2016. Very pleasant garden with seats at the front.

This was the Royal Palace where King Michael lived until the Communists overthrew him. Queen Anne lay here in state , I signed King Michael’s Book of Condolences here. His body will lie in state here.

I would recommend to skip audio book and 1st floor (pretty boring religious art except for 1 or 2 pieces) instead go directly to the third floor to admire this beauty from painter nicolae grigorescu

The best monument in Bucharest. Period.

It was first built around 1815 by prince Dinicu Golescu and it underwent changes over several decades.

Nice museum , but had no air conditioning , was quite hot inside ????

A bit too big and overwhelming. Some nice pieces of art but drowned in a massive number of quite similar looking pieces.
