The souks of Beirut were the main shopping destination from the late Ottoman era until the start of the Civil War in 1975. The mid-1990s excavations revealed successive historical layers in the area.

Pass by when it's sunny and the weather is good, loved it! There is a french restaurant infront of Hermes i'd recommed you to have lunch there 😍
You can directly sense that special authentic mood. Definitely should try having a drink at 3intably & grab a popcorn caramel b4 going to the movies . Such an enjoyable experience ❤️perfect for a walk!
I like how the sun reflects the walls & the craftsmanship of their builders, but what strikes me the most while strolling through is how it feels like a ruined temple , just before the fall.

The center of Beirut amazing its an open mall you can spend the hole day there ( Cinema , Arcade, Restaurants )
I've been to many middle Eastern cities and this is not a souk! This is just an open air mall reminiscent of a Westfield in London or LA, full of luxury brand stores. I didn't come to Beirut for this!

A far cry from the old souks that we now see in pictures & that our grandparents keep talking about, but nonetheless attractive & festive .

New cinema theaters seem nice. However I have a moral objection to what they have done to the roman and ottoman ruins which used to be there...
Visited Nada's Beirut souks shop,eye relaxing decoration,simple and beautiful exposing most unique & excentric designed jewelry for all occasions!
