L'Orto Botanico è nato come Giardino di piante medicinali (i Semplici) nel 1545 ed è fra i tre Orti più antichi al mondo insieme con quelli di Pisa e Padova. Da maggio 2008 sono disponibili percorsi multisensoriali tattili e olfattivi per non vedenti.

Definitely one of my favourite spots in Florence. Great views of the city, high hedges, and nice sculptures. Opens at 8:30AM and costs 10 euros. Well worth it to get amazing views away from tourists. - Mark Wong
