Callendar Park was the home of the Lords Livingston. William 6th Lord Livingston and his wife, Agnes Fleming were close associates of Mary Queen of Scots, who visited them regularly at Callendar.

Built in the style of a French chateau, Callendar House has long played a major role in Scotland's history. Mary Queen of Scots spent much of her early life here.

The toilets are the only let down, they are constantly disgusting so I'd warn parents who are taking young children to watch out if they need to use the bathroom
