Shops are so-so, some cool restaurants on the perimeter...but see it for the architecture alone. Make sure to view it from the north side with the ramps.
Tip: This place has no arcade ; if you want to see or play arcade games , then head across the street to the poster & arcade spot or pinball place. Both are super fun (prices very $5-$15 for the day).
Stately winged lions flank the north entrance to the historic Grove Arcade ushering you into the perfect place to pick up a piece of the mountains to take home with you.
The Grove Arcade boasts ivory-colored granite blocks and glazed terra cotta elements that depict Gothic and Tudor motifs. Read about the Grove Arcade and more in ASHEVILLE'S HISTORIC ARCHITECTURE. Read more
Nice arcade . Several great shops. Wear a mask. It was a bit warm inside.
Beautiful architecture , great shops, soak in the building while you're there.
Very cool indoor mall with a diverse collection of shops.
Take a moment to appreciate the amazing architecture & then start exploring all the great restaurants , boutiques & galleries . Visit their website for downloadable historical and architectural tours .
Gifts , crafts, decor and more. Great food location as well .
Don't forget to check out thr local artists just outside of the building.
Lots o shops...go to battery park books ...you'll thank me
Truthfully a bit underwhelming. A beautiful building, but there wasn't much to see or do beyond the five minute walk through.
Most places were not open on Sunday afternoon.
Shops were closed, still good to do a walk thru and window shop
Utterly amazing. So glad they reopened this. And I get to be here about everyday. :-)
I expected a little more than what was in there cute local shops nothing more nothing less
Lovely architecture .
My husband said "the bathroom smells awesome; like eco lab." Whatever that means.
