Pretty swanky "hotel bar " with Chicago beers and large wine selection . Of course you pay more than everything is worth but it is in the Palmer House after all.
Came for lunch and ordered a large Greek Salad . Delicious, great dressing , TONS of olives . Also only $12 cheapest "full meal" on the menu. I'd highly recommend.
The seasonal flatbread ($12) is a creative turn and a hot seller. The crisp, thin crust is topped with earthy wild mushrooms , nutty Brie sauce and, of all things, a wonderful apple-raisin caponata. Read more
If you're looking for crunchiest bread of the bunch, the Artisan Grilled Cheese at Lockwood is the one for you. Before it hits the flattop, Parmesan cheese is sprinkled on to create extra crust.
Beautiful hotel restaurant . I got the lobster roll and enjoyed it a lot. Waiter dissuaded me from many choices like the turkey burger and Thai salad .
From the quality of the bread to the level of service , from the quality of ingredients to the presentation on the plate, the evening was flawless. The lamb was cooked to perfection.Highly recommended.
We were so very excited to go for high tea from 2-4:00 couldn't because we didn't have reservations ! For high tea , make reservations a day in advance!
Do not miss the Caesar salad and mesclun greens salad on the breakfast bar . Great alternatives to the normal bfast stuff.
Make sure you get a table where you can see the lobby ceiling. Try the buratta - outstanding! As is the salmon ! And the manhattans !
Mad old fashioned. I would get a drink or something to rag ONLY a if I was in the area. With that said, there is a classic level of service that is refreshing
Loved the tomato basil soup , heirloom carrot salad , lamb loin and Pudding dessert . Perfect dinner
Great for drinks before and after dinner ; creative concoctions ; feel free to take with if staying in the hotel
Can't go wrong with the full breakfast buffet . Great selection of items including fresh fruit and made to order omelets .
Great central spot to alot of attractions . Easy to reach Red Line and buses to get just about everywhere we needed to go.
The $22 prix-fixe menu includes 3, full-size lunch courses , w/ several options each; Thick Belgian waffle was hot enough to melt the mascarpone cheese & sweetened by fresh strawberries & maple syrup . Read more
The Ahi Tuna Burger is my favorite item on menu! Make sure to get it with the truffle chips !
The cauliflower raviolis are yummy. Order more food since they only give you 3 gourmet sized bites.
The Boulevard 80 is a great beer . I'm usually a liquor drinker...but, I like this one.
The dining room at Lockwood is a picture of casual luxury . Think sparkling wall sconces, plenty of mirrors and lush banquettes—but here, you’re a-okay wearing jeans.
Anything is good in a place that looks like this. The tacos were great.
This brunch buffet has unlimited sparkling wine . We will repeat that: unlimited sparkling wine .
Snare one of the 17 stools at the Lobby bar and savor, along with your cocktail , scenes from greek mythology.
Great hotel bar right outside the historic Empire Room of the Palmer House Hotel !
The Palmer House Hilton’s dining room has no windows, just layers of dark colors. Read more
Great place for an outdoor meal.
The roasted chicken is super tender and juicy. The butternut squash soup is amazing.
Seasonal wine tastings for $40. I am at one now with Brian!
Scottish salmon is cooked perfectly! So tender and delicious - to die for!
Try the tomato gazpacho . Soft and delicious.
Good onion soup & bacon onion pizza .
Cute bar for a quick drink.
Wine was great. Service was awesome.
The tasting menu is worth it...with the wine pairings
Palmer House Hilton concierge was very kind and gave me a card for 15% off.
The service is soooooooo slow, it's ridiculous
An attractive restaurant but it was hard to find anything appealing on the menu and the service was mediocre
The bread was the best part of the meal. Pasta bolognese was okay but sauce was thin and lacking seasoning.
Marty will make you a Bloody Mary w/ his secret ingredient - Guinness .
Scallops , lamb
Go for the $38 three-course prix fixe dinner .
Thought the lunches are way overpriced and the portions are very small. Zagat ratings not bad but I am staying away!
Avoid the food.
takes forever to get a drink don't bother
Ideal para cerrar el dia
