We just love this pub ... Every time we come to Cornwall we make sure we come here at least once! Best fish and chips we've found... Anywhere!! Highly recommended though its always packed!
Rick Stein has been busy here, but to good effect. The restaurant section is new and big and doesn't interfere with the cosy Cornish pub . A very good menu with Kid's options. St Austell beers on tap .
Not a RS fan but was surprised, A really nice Contry Pub & not bad prices, didn't have food but the food we saw looked really good & so will do next time,Chickens out the back :-)
Nice selection of food. Busy place. Enjoy the mozzarella starter. The pies looked good.
Been coming here most years since 70s. Lovely beers and a better class of pub grub. Has kept integrity post-Stein - sad he's ditched the pasties from the menu though...
Super yummy food. Lovely staff .
They don't take reservations here. We waited an hour midweek for a table, a further hour for our starters and then another hour for our main course. Loads of punters also complained about the delays.
Great food and service
Lovely pub - bar staff and locals all incredibly friendly
Try a pint of Trelawny for a great pint on a hot, Cornish day.
Mussels are so nice
The best mussels !!
Not ruined from the pub I remember 35 years ago but updated by Mr Stein. Very foody now as you'd expect although you can find a nook for a proper drink up.
Useless bar staff - ignored by 3 members of staff - left pub without a drink several minutes later - really dont bother
Abs brill but very busy well set out another of ricks
So over priced for what you get however aren't they all.
Avoid in Easter hols, not great
Make sure you book a table - you can do this online. very busy at lunchtimes and evenings - especially on weekends! - Ashleigh Bennetts
Small menu but great food - casual yet contemporary environment. Would revisit! - Elle Stanley
Beautiful pub with a nice outdoor beer garden to enjoy during the summer time with pretty views and scenery ???????? - Tim Maccheroni
