Der Bremer Roland, eine 1404 errichtete Rolandstatue auf dem Marktplatz vor dem Rathaus, ist ein Wahrzeichen Bremens. Seit 1973 steht der Roland unter Denkmalschutz und wurde 2004 gemeinsam mit dem Rathaus von der UNESCO zum Weltkulturerbe der Menschheit erklärt.

A estátua em pedra com 5,50 metros foi erguida em 1404 na Praça do Mercado como símbolo da liberdade hanseática. É considerada a mais antiga estátua da Alemanha que se encontra ainda no seu local.
