So glad we made the trip to Ravenna. The basilica and mausoleum are my favorite religious sights so far in Italy . We are even coming back here again in a few days.

Spectacular mosaics from the byzantine empire. A UNESCO site . It is really nice to see that they kept everything in a perfect condition until today.

Be prepared to stay at least an hour in queue to get tickets because they are not sold on line . But it is definitely worth it
