Svartifoss (Black Fall) is a waterfall in Skaftafell National Park in Iceland, and is one of the most popular sights in the park. It is surrounded by dark lava columns, which gave rise to its name.

Went in autumn and was stunned by the colourful foliage. The combination of the basalt rocks , the autumn trees and the water were absolutely impressive. The hike was enjoyable and not too long.
A short hike to a very cool waterfall . In winter you can crawl behind the falls over the ice (if you don't mind getting a bit wet), but be careful as chunks of ice fall.
From the camp site in Skaftafell, 30 minute walk through Giljastígur to Svartifoss, which translates to “Black Falls”, a waterfall which is one of the main attractions of Skaftafell National Park .
Probably the most beautiful in the country . Mind that you have to walk 15-20 minutes from the parking . Slippery paths.
Amazing waterfall , do walk S2 - relatively easy 5.2km round trip
So many waterfalls in Iceland - this may be one of my favorites. Recommend!

Огромный заповедник,при наличии малого времени,сходите обязательно к водопаду .но много и других интересных маршрутов.еще можно подойти к краю языков ледника.выложу фото не водопада ) нет плохой погоды
La caminata vale la pena! Es muy fotogénica, pero mas pequeña de lo que parece.

Интересен не сам водопад , а его обрамление - обрезанные сталагмиты.

Take one of the glacier climbing tours that start from the Vatnajokull visitor's center. The views on top of this glacier are amazing! Also Game of Thrones and Batman Begins were filmed here! - Dark

Gorgeos location with floating glaciers and seals. You have to feel that during sunset, it's simply epic place. Very good spot for photo as well. - Milan Dufek
