Best bakery in Kyoto . Kinda small and they usually have the same stuff, but it's really good. I like the chocolate tart , roast beef/blue cheese sandwich , and (tea-flavored) croissant aux amandes.
Nice bakery with decent coffee . There are no seats inside. Outside has three tables. So it's really a to go thing.

ここはほんとおしゃれ 。パン がケーキ のように見える。そしてどれもうまい。
お客さんも店員さんも、素敵な女性が多い気がする。

Walder’s bread, as its German name would suggest, falls on rather hard, heavy and chewy side. Be sure to get their Kyoto-style dashi bread, hojicha cube bread and blue cheese bread. - Riri Grr
