Well organized and rich museum , with descriptions on all the items. Opening hours till 4:30. For taking photos you need a special ticket for 50 EP.
The rare manuscripts of the Quran and a gold inlaid key to the door of the Ka'aba are amazin. Visitors can also see an old gold coin dating to the year 697! Read more

مكان يستحق الزيارة، من زار مصر ولم يزر هذا الموقع فقد فاته شيء عظيم، تراث وحضارة إسلامية من بداية عهد الصحابة رضوان الله عليهم إلى وقت الملكية. شيء جميل ورائع ونادر.

Ticket is 1 L.E for students, check out the om kalthoum library and the nile-ometer while you are there. The nile view is spectacular - Nour Hashem
Three floors with different exhibits, plus the occasional special exhibition. Definitely worth it for a glimpse into Egyptian art, even though modern is a bit of a stretch. - Rene
