Painfully, this beautiful 300+ years old church sustained major damage with its collapsed portico and bell tower when a 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck Bohol in 2013.
First time in this church calls for a wish. Wished for the wellfare of all Boholanos especially looking at how affected they were by the earthquake that hit them.
To the right of the church’s carved wooden doors is the entrance to the museum , a good place to visit after your penitential rounds. Read more

Ladies, if you're not wearing long pants or are wearing sleeveless shirts , grab a shawl from the sacristan at the side entrance. Otherwise they won't let you in or you'll be admonished if you sneak in
if you want to know more about Baclayon church's history, try to visit the nearby museum . There's an entrance fee, though.

Ladies must cover their legs if wearing shorts or skirt prior to entering the church . Pieces of cloth are offerd at the main entrance.
