The best way to tour the place (and any touristic place in India) is by an audio guide (150 Rps). It comes in 6 languages. Better than a guy guide . Available right hand of the Lion's Gate entrance
Stunning place, beautiful architecture , nice view of the city , one of the best place in Jaipur. A guide is really helpful, as it's a big place, he knows where to go and all the stories to tell.
Gorgeous experience • the fort to visit. Get a tour guide ~ 200 rupee (don’t take the Jeep up and the cafe coffee day upstairs is eh). Ask about paint made from vegetables . Beautifu views outside cafe
Number 1 must visit on the Jaipur circuit. A little known fact is that the ramparts of the fort are second longest after the great wall of china. In all 34 km long. Do get a guide for the visit.
Nicest fort in Rajasthan! Must see! Best to hire tour guide as it is big and if you tight with time the guide will know exactly where to go! Absolutely stunning place!
the elefant ride was one of sadest scenes that I've ever seen. people hit them with sticks or heavy bars on their skull, they're dry and have a stressed expression. pls help to stop it
Lots of interesting things and details to see. Avoid the elephant ride up to the main barracks courtyard , as it isn't particularly animal friendly . Your guide may be in a hurry, but you shouldn't be.
You can walk to reach the fort , it’s about 15 minutes. Just ask your driver to drop you off at the main entrance where you can walk as the drop off for Jeep is much further from the main entrance.
If you are a student bring your ID to get 50% off on tickets. Must see sheesh mahal, nice fort overall, click some good pictures create memories ... ENJOY!
Get a guide from up in the fort especially if you are with kids. The ones you hire from the fort are allowed to go inside with you to Sheesh Mahal. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the history.
Get there early if you want to ride a elephant. They are allow to have certain amount of rides. It's 900 rupees per elephant- max 2 people
Amazingly beautiful palace . The best in India to me. Yet I wish authorities would be taking a better care of this rare historical property.

It's a peaceful beautiful and majestic fort just 11 km from main city ... Must visit to sheetla mata mandir .. Very soothing !!!
Beautiful and well worth the trip. The photos I took there are among the best of our trip. A lady Sadhu tried to break my wife's ankle on the street outside, though.
Please don't ride elephants, in India, Thailand, or anywhere else. It's cruel. Go by foot or use a jeep!

Bring student ID to get half off admission. Arrive by 10am if you want to catch an elephant ride to the top (900 rupees per elephant, 2 ppl max.
It was amazing! You have a choice between going by elephant/ jeep / by foot. As you wish! The inside /outside is huge and beautiful.
Its located above and close to Jaigarh Fort . Largest cannon in India can be seen here. No biggie, just walking around the fort is nice experience
Beautiful setting. Getting lost in endless chambers and hallways brings vastness to life.
Nice fort and palace . Make sure you take an elephant ride to the top!
Gigantic structure . At the back of it is a lake . Like a water reservoir for the village nearby.
Excellent Rest rooms available at the exit of the fort . At INR 5 per person you get access to clean toilets ... Something I have not seen in India and seldom such quality abroad.
Watch Light and Sound Show...starts 06:30pm (English) and 07:30 (Hindi)...Organised at Kesar Kiyari Complex of Maotha Lake ....A must watch for Jaipur visitors
It is Amber which is named after Ambikeshwar (Shiva) - the deity taut Raja was worshipping when the building started .. Over the years the 'b' got dropped and it is called Amer in Hindi ..
The colossal grandeur of Amber Fort is fascinating evidence of the grandeur of ancient times. It lies peacefully , just 11 kms away from the capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur.
Great view and nice experience! Try to find the bee hives around the forts ! There are huge!
