Great ice skating rink ! Not too busy on the weekends. Stay in Brooklyn and don't make the trek all the way into Manhattan for skating . Two admission tickets plus skate rentals were under $30.
The admission ticket booth is behind the skate rental place, don't accidentally stand on line for skates before getting tickets. You'll need to get a locker for your shoes . Lovely rink though :)
The rinks themselves are beautiful and fun - it's so nice to have 2. Need improvements in administration - waited about an hour for tickets on a Sunday and 30 mins for two hot chocolates and fries .
Skating rentals and concessions will will be open on Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday and Saturday between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m., and Sunday 9 a.m. to p.m.
Look for stick and puck sessions. Best place to get some hockey time in throughout NYC, and it's outdoors.
Ice skating in the winter, sprinklers/fountains and roller skating in the summer. Great place to hang out. Cafe is quite expensive
Watching people fall while skating is almost as fun as actually falling while skating . Check it out!
FYI: The largest skate size they have for men is size 13! I'm a 14 sneaker and was able to cram my foot into the 13 rental but it was pretty tight.
Bring your own hot chocolate . The cafe was making them one at a time. We waited 45 minutes. The other snack counter RAN OUT, yes, of hot chocolate . We got there at 10:30 though so no wait for the ice.
Splash Pad (what the ice skating is in the summer months ) is a great spot for little kids to cool off.
After the holiday week, when the café will be open daily through Jan. 1, its standard will be Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Seasonal sports will include ice skating and ice hockey (November through March), Roller skating (April through October) and water play for children and families (May through September).
Whining staff gets old: why did you take this job if you "want to go home" because you don't like the cold? Walkie talkie guy sucks but rinks themselves are great!
My daughter had a great time at a birthday party that was hosted here last winter. Hope to give her some iceskating lessons this year.
Bluestone Cafe is excellent. Great hot chocolate !
Check out the new side of the park this side year round fun !!
Love the ceiling! Pricing is a little much though.
I'm so happy this opened. Another great section of Prospect Park . The restaurants not bad, either.
Clean bathrooms . Bluestone has a nice upstairs area too
Great vibe. Beautiful design. Fun performances (looking at you, Synchronettes).
Come in the early morning to skip the lines . Woo-hoo!
Hey the season pass. Let's you get in front of the line . Your own skates get you on the ice even faster.
Skating was cool but be warned, no storage (even of shoes ) included. $3 (small) locker rental for 3h. Wasnt too crowded on a Jan Friday afternoon
Come here for rollerskating !!
roller skating rink often slim crowds. Nice breeze under the roof when skating
Skate area is nicely done. On opening night, the skaters were aggressive and announcements that it's not a speed skating ring were repeated, but it did not stop folks from being disrespectful.
Best bathrooms ! Cute cafe picnic tables to hangout at.
Open ice-skating is free, be careful when choose bracelet
giant everything pretzel
Fun water feature! Reminds me of the Frog Pond in Boston a bit.
Indoor and outdoor skating , but bring your own food.
The center is beautiful but the ticket and food lines are ridiculously sloooooow.
Try the curling.
Overdevelop trash community being threatened aesthetically ugly buildings The blocks need more trees grass flowers people are trashing the area
Dogs welcome at outdoor bar !
Ice skates only go up to men size 13. Lefrak doesn't care about big people.
tiny skates for new little skaters
Sometimes crowded . Great Skate school.
Check in while you're at the cashier or they won't honor it. That's some BS @LakesideBrooklyn
Really awesome place to go skating
So fun for the kids playing in the splash park
French fries are heavenly.
Go early to avoid long lines .
There's a diaper changing table in the bathroom .
The line moves fast!
Beautiful Scenery
Took us 45 minutes to get tickets at 11:30 on Sunday morning. There were literally 12 transactions ahead of us in the one ticket window that was open. Bad.
Good times for cheap !
Loads of beginners falling all over the place
Bring the whole family!

Do not book the party package here, the management deceived us about the price of the package and no drinks were offered and no decor as promised. Just a sad empty table with cold pizza. Disorganized. - Maple
