Hot shellfish platter is a great experiment. If requested, staff can split into two dishes. (We did this between two people and found it to be adequate - would not have wanted a whole dish each.)
Thought the set menu was very good value and very good food. Experience was very relaxed and well looked after.
If you don't have a reservation , you can eat at the bar in the centre of the room. First come, first served.
They've got an excellent deal on at the moment... Winter special. 3 courses for £27 I think? Husband took me there for lunch on my birthday, Nov 11... Plus I think some money goes to charity too? Ace.
A birthday surprise and lived up to expectations. Octopus starter good, monkfish fillet with fennel beautiful.
Butterfly, deep fried sardines for starter. Main course, hake
Heard of this geezer, Rick Stein? This is his original flagship seafood resto, est. 1975
Service was friendly and professional. And the hot seafood was really fresh and delicious.
Great restaurant , superb service and food.
The food is great but it’s like eating food in a factory - the service was rapid - water was splashed across the table and the sommelier splashed the wine - then the deserts were too slow
Food as good as ever although it is a liitle more geared to turning tables than fine dinning, it has lost some of its charm.
Oysters and fish curry are great
The food was excellent as you would expect but it was the staff that made it for me, professionalism personified
Great food and wine ask the sommelier for advice!!! And go for the £37 3-course menu
If you bring your kids, try the local hake with thick-cut chips - our daughters reccomend it (best fish and chips ever!)
Cod and chips is amazing. The batter is perfect and the cod flaky and succulent.
Excellent food, excellent service.
The original, but still lovely
Newlyn Fish Pie - Fantastic
Great breakfast .
Good food but over-priced with a cafeteria atmosphere. Noisy and crowded with too many tables crammed in too close together. Overall, not a relaxing experience.
Service is great, food standards slipping, wine overpriced.
Used to love this place, no longer. Relies too much on reputation not innovation. Overpriced so recommend eating elsewhere.
Go for the Dover sole ! Amazing!
Choose the Cigare Blanc wine
Way too expensive compared to the taste and quality of the food
Eine Vor- oder Hauptspeise zu teilen ist auch ok!!
The pizza’s were very nice, good wine list and excellent service. Good for kids as well. - Stefan Van Loock
Scallop appetiser is delicious. Mackerel salad starter is also very good. - Paul May
Beautiful Cornish Harbpur with lots of pubs pasty shops ice cream parlours & fish & chip outlets - Emma Sparks
Right on the quay! Food in Pescadou is delicious, highly recommend the crab linguini. - Candace Jury
Excellent cream teas with scones served nice and warm, brilliant cooked breakfast! Best little cafe in Padstow. Great value too. - Andy Bullock
