The airport is spacious and quiet , clean and arranged. Taking Vietnam Airline , they just open 1 checkin counter, 'making' long queue poor service. Restaurants at upstairs are great in interior design .

Shuttle bus available to terminal 1. Newer building compared to domestic terminal. Free wifi and observation deck to view runway 11 action.

Massive airport , and brand new having just opened in January 2015. Although the shopping and food are a bit lacking, expect much more to come in 2015 and 2016.

The best place for a decent snack is the Popeye's fried chicken airside . Stay away from the cafe on the 4th floor in the departure hall

Hanoi’s modern airport is way more pleasant than Ho Chi Minh’s. With the new highway it’s also a smoother ride to town . US citizens expected to pay USD25 on arrival b4 going thru immigration .

Very new and clean terminal. It’s worth getting off the plane first and head straight to immigration - queues build up quick. Getting visa on arrival may take a while, if needed better get in advance

Some great shops to buy last minute gifts . PB’s Coffee Boutique by gate 34 has some really amazing hand crafted items at VERY good prices!

The very new terminal is beautiful, clean , modern, and the wifi is fast. It's all downhill from here.

Brand new terminal . Looks nice and convenient. Today on day 1 of operation, many of the restaurants are still closed.

Omg! It's clean ! It's got wifi and also "free drinking water fountains "! You can thus survive until you board on plane .

If you got local currency and need to spend it, shop & eat before immigration as once you get in it will be all in USD.

Eat prior to security/immigration for cheaper food. Don't eat at Popeye's or Burger King - you're in Vietnam, not Virginia!

Souvenir shops on land side are cheaper. On airside , venture further for cheaper prices. Most shops sell the same stuff but not all shops price the same.

New,big,clean and more comfortable than Terminal 1 (Domestic Airport ).But price in foodcourt and coffeeshop are expensive .And quality not good enough

Surprisingly small airport for capital city

Airport seems to be good, but lack of seating capacity. I arrived at around 11:45PM, not sure if it was the peak timing, but doesn't seem to even have a single seat to sit.

ATMs: TechcomBank tells you the limit ($3M), has a flat fee of $66k. Agribank doesn't tell you the limit ($3M), $66k flat fee. BIDV is a rip-off with 3% fee instead of a flat fee - avoid!

There aren't many places to eat airside other than the airport lounge . Suggest you get your nibbles before security

There are only a few places to eat past Immigration. Two Tigers is slow and, of course, expensive . Old terminal had much more facilities and was cosier.
