日本語にすれば「ばあちゃんの井戸 」の意味。明代に開かれた井戸 はポルトガル人の貴重な水場であり、ポルトガル居留地の最初の拠点の一つとなった。マカオ政庁の努力もあり、この近辺はヨーロッパ風の建築 物が良好な状態で多数維持保存されている。特に何かがあるわけではないが、雰囲気が良くて散策の合間にのんびり出来る場所。

Nowadays you cannot drink the water in the Lilau water well, but legend has it that whoever drinks the water will get married in Macau. 　　　現在的阿婆井井水已經不可飲用，但傳說飲用了井水的人便能在這小城裏與情人白頭偕老。
