Definitely get the yakitori ! The Chicken Tail and Garlic Pork Belly are by far my girlfriend's and my favorites. Heart is also very good! Try all the yakitori .
So many choices, so little time. Right next to the Cream Pan, Honda-Ya is that perfect neighborhood izakaya place to hangout with your friends on any drinking occasion! LOVE the chicken skins !
Similar to sister restaurant Kappo Honda this place has good udon and shrimp tempura also open late night . Make sure you get yakitori as its the flagship items.
Slip off your shoes and sit cross-legged in the tatami room for that authentic Richard Chamberlain-in-Shogun experience, even if your legs lose circulation before the food arrives. Read more
Satisfy your udon craving here. And don't be scared of the wait, the line moves fast and the food is worth it.
Our favorite place. Fresh and delicious food. They are open until late at night ✌????
You really can't go wrong with any of the skewers - even the beef tongue is delicious! Pair whatever you order with some Asahi and sake , and you're good to go.
It has a cool vibe. Also it has a tatami section if you want to try more traditional way of dining. But food is just average. Prices are good, but I wish quality was better.
Kaisen don - lots of rice , not so much seafood . Only very standard fish . Meh.it comes with miso soup for $12 or so. I prefer the lunch Chirashi at "fun sushi Momo " in Fullerton.
Izakaya food is fun to share with friends and family! Also great food for late nights !
Magic mushrooms , sashimi , miso scallops skewer are all must haves.
Small bites and good pours of Japanese sake and beer ! Could waste an evening here easily
Great food???? Try the Shrimp Tempura , Cheese Takoyaki with Jalapeños and Salmon .
Birthday person gets complimentary ice cream , brought out with lights dimmed and the birthday song played overhead. They have good green tea ice cream :)_
There is a wait outside 7 days a week. Apparently it's worth the wait.
Not as good as it once was. Service was good as always with very attentive wait staff . food, not so much. The sashimi was not fresh and the teriyaki chicken was overcooked. City of Industry better.
Yakitori 's (skewered and coal-grilled meats & veggies ) are their specialty and the best here. Try the special heart or any bacon-wrapped skewer .
Albacore tuna tatami salad ! Cheese age! And age dashi tofu !! My favorite restaurant in OC!
Make sure you wear socks! You're going to have to take off your shoes for the floor dining xD
The Garlic Greens and the Gyoza paired with a Kirin Draught is heaven.
One of the few places in the area that's actually open late .
Closes at 11:15 PM every third Tuesday for cleaning .
Decent yakitori . I like the drawings and the weird names on the menus.
Get your groove on with some udon !
The Salmon skin is tastefully tasty.
JAPANESE FOOD HEAVEN
Try the Shishamo Nanban - Spiciest dish on the menu!
Everything is good.
A fantastic Japanese Grill. Served like Tapas style and always worth the wait. Read more
Try the Shrimp Tempura - Better than most
Try the Pork Belly Asparagus Yakitori
Try the Eel Balls - Who knew eels had balls??
Try the stinky roll. Don't let the name fool you. It's yummy!!
Their quality is down the hill .. It used to be alright but they screwed up all of my 3 favorite dishes. Very so so food.
Try the Unagi (eel ) Bowl
The bacon raped asparagus is amazing and inexpensive
Get a booth or sit at the bar , because the tables are awkwardly placed.
Takoyaki is yummy
Give time on the wait line .
I love the red snapper tempura . It have a unique taste :D
Try their tonkatsu and beef ponzu !
Try the sashimi bowl
It used to b good, but not anymore. The taste quality is down the hill . All of their foods are very so so.
Ask your waiter what he/she recommend!
Chicken tail!!!!
Save room for apple spring rolls
Sit on the floor instead of the bar
