Tried this place during Portland Burger week. Will definitely be back. Unique menu of Asian-Hawaiian fusion and walking distance to Laurelhurst theater !
Delicious burgers , fresh ingredients & great service. I recommend sitting on the stools to watch the chefs cook while you eat - meal & a show ☺️ $5 Mai Tai for happy hour !!
Pulled pork is incredible. They make their own kimchi , if they had a jar of it I would definitely buy it. Pineapple cole slaw , Mac salad . Better hawaiian food than I ever had in Hawaii.
Wonderful teriyaki beef . And they pour a very assertive and delicious mai tai ! The service is attentive and friendly . Perfect spot for a casual dinner .
Their cocktails are strong ???? I'm a big fan of the Katsu Chicken or Teriaki Chicken . The Shoyu Chicken was good too but there's not very much meat on the bone.
The 2-choice plate is great! Get two of your favorite dishes for only $1 more. Well worth it. Also the (2 per person) Mai Tai is so delicious.
Don't forget to order shaved ice for the end of your meal! Get it topped with condensed milk and ask for coconut ice cream in the center!
Their Kimchi is so good. I love every food on their menu.
If you like to taste the ground beef in your burgers stay away from the ones here. Over cooked with tons of sauce and spices go for the platters
Mac salad is just like Dean's Drive In on Oahu. So good! Tried a bunch of other things too, and I was not disappointed.
Anything on the menu is far better than anything you can get in HI. Favorites: HH cheeseburger , beef teriyaki , Mac salad .
Overall good food and good sized portions, I have no idea of what Hawaiian food is really like, so this will become my standard.
a Tambo plate is usually on special and it has never let me down. Other than the pulled pork everything here is excellent.
Kalua pig and kolbi plate, add traditional kimchi . Get it.
Ridiculous shoyy chicken and super good lau lau . Also be sure to try spam musubi . The ramen is pretty lackluster though
I'm in Hawaii right now and I am excited to come home to PDX and eat Ate-oh-Ate because it's better than anything here!
If you are from Hawaii, try the lau lau here! Tastes like its from home! Of course make sure you eat it with mac salad !
Amazing, Spam Musubi is great , Loco moco is huge , Drinks are good and strong
Pork belly saimin -- the Hawaiian take on ramen . Oh and shaved ice .
WW Cheap Eats 2011 favorite: plate lunches like the sweet, crisp Korean-style chicken wings and chicken thighs simmered in shoyu (each $8.95).
Mai Tai will mess you up! Get two!
Burgers and katsu pork are great!
Chicken takes a little longer to cook--but it's delicious!
Just came back from Hawaii and was craving ate oh ate the entire time! Best Hawaiian food anywhere.
The Hekka one of the only things that can be made Vegan and it's pretty good.
So easy to fall in love with this place. ????
Fantastic happy hour ! The $2 fried rice is pretty tasty.
Best shave ice in Portland so far!
The Kalua Pig is legit!
Great plate specials & mac salad ????
Amazing pineapple slaw .
The POG flavor for the shave Ice has a weird powdery texture. Not sure if it is a flaw in the flavor, or if the batch was just poorly mixed.
Try the Tempura Sweet Potato Fries
Lots of authentic Hawaiian plate meals to be had, but the best dish on the menu might be the killer Aina Burger with kimchi relish and pork belly .
Hawaiian food
Macaroni salad ❤️
Not bad, went with a coupon. The burger looked slick, I got boring rice , pasta salad , and crispy chicken wings . Too much starches
The pork sandwich tasted like beef .
Pretty authentic Hawaiian food
Best place ever!!!!!
The Kalua pork is the business.
Love the Lau Lau !
Try the Tempura Sweet Potato Fries
Try the Curry Bowl
Aina Burger
Nothing better on a hot day than the shaved ice with coconut ice-cream
Rice , chicken ,
Kahlua pork
Try the PROG. Delicious.
Saimin broth is good, noodles not so much. Good texture though
Good Hawaiian BBQ - and definitely try the shaved ice. - Paul Lewandowski
Amazing food and mine was only 5.95 for a generous amount so generous I'm stuffed full. If you haven't been, GO!!! - ❄Tana Jones-Lawrence❄
This shop is chill and makes outstanding espresso drinks. One of the more laid-back places in PDX. Best of all, it's down the street from Screen Door, one of the best brunch places in Portland. - Luke Bornheimer
Really fun to go at the holidays and see classic films with lunch. Great cold weather spot. - Colleen Showalter
