Definitely one of the most memorable meals we’ve had in Japan. The texture of their yuzu noodles were so perfect, each slurp was just heavenly. Beef slices were so good and flavorful: a to-die-for.
Found in a little street of small restaurants . Tasty soba noodles - just the right about of chewiness to dip in a tasty hot broth . Satisfying with a soft boiled egg on top, would come back again
Selection of various tsukemen , curries & 2 types of ramen . Toppings can be added. Order using the vending machine. Open the door next to the machine to get to the dining area. Ramen was excellent.
Very unique entrance to a good ramen . Their soup base will be different from many other ramen , but still worth the try as it is not bad. Great service too.
The service, ramen and smooth jams . Chilled jasmine green tea to wash it all down. Perfect.
I got Tsukemen , which has the noodles served to you cold and you dip them in hot broth . The machine's all in Japanese, but if you want what's below you're looking at もつつけめん.
Best ramen in the world. Order the ramen with pork and eggs . Unbelievable place. Went here more than 10 times.
Great curry based ramen . Menu only in Japanese but you can't go wrong with any pick!
Hip interior behind a secret wood door on a hidden alley. Get the tsukemen with an egg
Soba noodles used delicious!! tasty soup !!! Classy , clean place. they serve cold jasmine tea along with meal. You will leave here smiling.
Small and awesome ramen spot. Simple menu (order and pay on machine before entering, wait for a spot at the counter)... loved it!
Amazing food. Once you enter through the door you will see a machine in the hallway. There you pick your food and pay. Get a local to help you, it is all in Japanese.
The best tsukemen I have ever tried in the world. Get all the ingredients and go with citrus noodle .
I’m not a ramen guy but this was superb. the Japanese beef , the seasoned egg , and the broth were all amazing.
Really delicious Tsukemen . There is two type, normal and citrus . Noodle portion is big. add on side is recommend.
Curry tsukemen is arguably the best ramen I’ve ever had.
Ramen with Japanese beef , 1000 yen, arrive at 5:45 to avoid waiting in a huge queue, this place is behind a discrete little door, mind your head and enjoy, mindblowing!!!
Perfectly hidden in a narrow alley. Ramen broth is made from chicken and fish , and the grilled beef with it is a winner. Very savory.
You'll most definitely missed the small and short wooden door! The curry dipping ramen (tsukemen ) is too delicious
Best ramen I had in Kyoto. They replaced the ordering machine, so you don’t have to know Japanese to order.
My favourite ramen in Japan so far. Full on.
The vending machine is completely in Japanese. There is a picture with english translation annotated on yelp.Check that out. Also , the waiting area is right behind the vending machine.
One of the best Tsukemen places in the area. Recommend to anyone!
Very good mix of tradition and modern ambience. Awesome Ramen .
Great ramen . Typical Japanese restaurant
Amazing ramen through a small door an alley. Order from the machine and then continue into the restaurant
It was a little hard to find as expected, luckily people on the street were helpful :) as for the food, I wasn’t really impressed, actually I found it a bit heavy.
idk what's more fire, the tsukemen or the atmosphere. be warned though - the vending menu is 100% japanese.
Super tasty, thick, chicken broth . Long line but well worth the wait.
Definitely worth it!
Very local atmosphere. I tried the pork ramen and was disappointed by the taste, have tried others that I personally liked more.
Ramen is just ok for my taste (not a specialist, though) but too salty! Worth for that japanese experience - small restaurant , fast line , local feeling...it might not sound good, but kind of is!
Quite possibly my favorite ramen restaurant ever
Curry tsukemen is the bomb
Sugari specialises in tsukemen http://tabelog.com/kyoto/A2602/A260201/26006820/
Cashless paymemt machine only. Order, pay and queuing. relatively fast.
Very rich, but amazing ramen .
Trendy place with great food
Packed with flavours. Superb ramen
For all you gringo's... You're going to need a hand ordering from the machine
Am I the only person who got too salty ramen ? I visited this place on this April and 4 of us all got too salty ramens and almost left all of the dishes. Is it normal?

Noodle is good; soup too salty to my liking. Still prefer

Superb ramen around Karasuma-Oike area. Want to mention specially, their soup tho... you can choose 3 different taste, everything seems delicious - Omansowa
One of the best ramen in Kyoto city. Pork char siu tastes just fantastic - Kazuki Nakayama
Lots of food to try so skip lunch! Watch out for more expensive prices on items and gifts as its a popular tourist spot. Love this market - find the spicy powder and thank me later! - Kit&kafoodle
One floor is arcade games (including some retro) and the other is rhythm games. The King near the station has more rhythm games though. - David Somers
Lots of Pokemon toys, clothes, food and all the merchandise you could think of. Also a place to play a few games too. - Steve
