Great view - do absolutely go here for lunch on a hot day, and sit outside. The restaurant itself is pretty closed to the outside, so in my mind sitting inside is best in winter.

Is has a very large wine list , great food and a historic location. And, did I say that the view is fantastic?

In the city center district Prison from the 1800s turned into a small restaurant . Great outdoor seating for the summer - with a stunning view of the fjord.

Don't miss the apple mousse dessert with longpepper ice cream or the peanut butter Magnumbar with pop candy . Heston Blumenthal style.

Good value for Oslo standards, but Festningen definitely has some improvement points. Food is good, but I'd mainly come back for the atmosphere & view !

Good food and a great view but the service was unfriendly and mostly focused on finishing the guests off quickly. Such a shame!

The grill is very good, both steaks , fish , chicken and burger

Was there today had the liver of veal.The dish was nice and of high standard, but it was served cold. No service during the meal we had no water in our glasses. No coffee or dessert was offered

Great food, really nice atmosphere

Good location and view , but not good enough to justify the poor service and food. We were also asked to leave our table in favour of new guests, even though we had plenty of wine left.

The cheeseburger is amazing!

Veldig fint Cambre Separe. Perfekt for vennegjeng. Godt komponert meny og service!
