This place is super cosy,especially when they light the fireplace . Just sit next to it and enjoy the food.Try one of their famous vintage pies ! For example,BEEF AND MERLOT PIE is a really good choice!

Decent pub . They have pre booked table service . Or you can order food from the bar . You can take a stroll through the common after on a sunny day.

Good food, but a small selection of ales . Leave room for pud too! There quite big. If it's cold outside the open fire is a warm welcome.

Excellent gastro-pub. For years keeps very good quality. Pies definetely worth a try!

As a foreigner I love the place. Very authentic . Great fish n chips and the most fantastic cherry/choc deserts

This was pretty bad tbh. Suddenly the food is microwaved, they couldn’t manage to bring out starters before mains, the building leaked, and they couldn’t even be bothered to do table service .

Good food, but very slow service. Had to repeatedly call over the waiters to order food, drinks etc, and clear the previous occupants' glasses off the table ourselves.

Good place for burgers , steak and fish'n chips .

The sticky toffee pudding and custard was scrummy!
