Almost everything is good at the Common Grill. The bread is excellent so is the coleslaw and anything any main menu dish will be awesome. A very nice wine list too.
PROS: If the gazpacho is in season, get it! Lake Superior Whitefish in a variety of presentations, all very tasty and prepared perfectly. CONS: VERY loud , nearly impossible to converse w/o shouting.
If you are a seafood lover go for the Bouillabaisse -shrimp , scallops , salmon , mussels , clams and lobster in a tomato fennel saffron broth with grilled garlic bread
Try the portabella fries appetizer , amazing rolls, and Tuscan pear & gorgonzola salad , one of the daily fish specials, have some wine , finish it off the best crème brulee in the world.
The chocolate croissant bread pudding has been my favorite dessert for years! Was pleasantly surprised to see it was still on the menu.
Food is great, be warned the call ahead is a bit weird. Not a reservation for a time, but a spot in line at that time, sorta. Expect a 30+ minute wait during busy times.
Seafood risotto is great. So is the perch . Resist the temptation to overdose on the bread - it's amazing too!

Ho there for the rolls alone! Salmon is amazing. Be prepared for a bit of a wait, but it is so worth it .
If you like the bread (which, you should, it is amazing!), you can buy the dough and bake it at home!
