Beautiful collection of local art and Europeans from post-WWI. The permanent collection has great hands-on activities for kids of all ages. The peace collection was quite moving.
Make sure to visit the special exhibition with art from Kaii Higashiyama. Wonderful pieces in there.
特別展の清水南山展が思いの外良かったです。彫金が大変美しいです。彫金以外に、絵画が多かったのが予想外でした。常設展は、ダリ、平山郁夫といった有名どころやペルシャ美術など見応えあります。
所蔵品は広島出身の作家の作品にはじまり、インド のタペストリーやシュルレアリスムの有名どころとさまざまです。隣のお庭も綺麗で、晴れた日に訪ねたい美術館 。
広島ゆかりの近代美術を中心に展示 。併設の庭園 「縮景園」も含めて楽しめる
現在(2018年8月)、ジブリの大博覧会開催中です。2018年9月24日まで。
