I suggest to book a table in advance. Nice surrounding, like an old farm ... The beauty of the wood is the most relevant element of this awesome place. Dinner was good too with good quality meal. ????
Wonderful meal & ambience! Recommend the steak and kidney pie , grilled artichoke , and cauliflower cheese . Attentive and thoughtful service from a young Russian man. Two thumbs up!
Friendly staff , cozy interior , delicious food. Specials of the day are always worth trying. Avocado crab is particularly amazing. And don't forget the house wine !
Incredible food and atmosphere. Food is great and so is the wine . Don’t skip on the onion soup for a starter!
Don't believe Foursquare - it's NOT cheap . Set lunch costs 21 pounds. Rather cozy inside though. We managed to fill ourselves just with a (incredibly tasty) soup .
If your looking for a good classic steak and kidney pie ...look no further! Try and get a table upstairs...can get a little dark down below! ????????????.
Limited vegetarian selection made up by a great tasting steak selection! Cosy cosy cosy. Well priced too considering the area and quality. Come on the independent restaurant .
Unfussy, English food including hearty pies , delicious roast rump or our absolute favourite - Maggie's creamy fish pie . If it's good enough for Princess Margaret, it's good enough for us!
One of few old school English restaurants that serve school dinner sized portions and no faux gastropub retro irony . MJ opened in the early '70s and has been the same since . Cosy and familiar. .
Fantastic atmosphere, interior, food and service. House wine by how much of the (big) bottle you drink is inspired
cozy place .. good for a date .. onion soup & root viggie pie is pretty .. overall rating 9/10
Overall our party enjoyed their meals a quaint place with very good service . Though tasty, the rack of lamb I had was mostly fat.
Great little cosy hideaway. Amazing service, delicious food. Maggie's tart is the best quiche I've ever had.
Excellent service excellent food!! Definitely I’ll visit it again!
Really nice interior, very cozy place and food is delicious. Ask for specials! Perfect for a date or family dinner !
Everything was delicious. Try the pork shoulder and the pies . The boar sausage also. Very kind staff .
The cheesy cauliflower changed my world. And the creamed fish pie was pretty damn good.
Lovely staff . And you only pay for the amount you drink from a magnum of house wine !
Charming place with awesome food. Big size portions at reasonable price. Real hidden gem in London
The tastiest lamb I've ever had. Also highly recommend the cauliflower cheese
One of the best places in London to taste the first Grouse in August, a great selection of wines and a wonderful, rustic atmosphere.
Muchrooms soup is something that you must try... totaly different from most of the soups i have ever had!
Tasty simple food. Staff extremely kiddie friendly without the place becoming a hideous family restaurant . Would recommend.
Food and service were very good, but felt a bit overpriced and it feels very cramped, with too many tables in the small space
Temporarily closed for repairs due to electrical fire in August 2023. Source: Restaurant Online
This style of food is done better at most gastropubs in West London for a fraction of the price. The veggies were appalling and reminded me of the 80s. Yuck
Try the house red . Really good wine for a house and very innovative way to serve it. Works if you want a glass, bottle or more.
Good food for a fair price in an intimate setting . Good service .
Very secretive corner booths for dating-for-a-while couples having a cosy home made tasty meal
The spot is so incredible. You need to go and try!
Great food, very cosy place and friendly staff ????????????
Great atmosphere, tasty! Prices above average.
Very lovely place. I strongly advice... ????????
Fantastic service, fantastic food. Very authentic !
Great atmosphere, stilton mouse is a must!
Must try, delicious and full sunday roast ..
Portions are hearty. Share the main courses and you can save space for pudding .
The game is the usual fare with bits and all.
Closed at the moment repairs, due to an electrical fire
Beautiful lamb with red cabbage !!
Brazil loves Maggie Jone's!! Best roast chicken in town .
Friendly staff , beautiful place — food is seriously overpriced though, and not that impressive.
Ale & atmosphere of old england will be with you
onion soup
Really bad, old school English food cooked like it's the 70s. I know people like nostalgia but the quality of the cooking in relation to the price is embarrassing. Avoid.

Really good festive menu. The smoked salmon was delicious, and the sea bass with mussels and mashed potatoes (side) was yummy. The Salted Caramel Expresso Martini was really good as well!!! - Alex Curiel
Great ambiance for a quick bite or a glass of wine! The fish finger sandwich is a classic - Niamh Breslin
A great place for a nice evening with friends. It starts with well made cocktails & appetizers. Plenty of options on the menu for dinner So sit back & enjoy the friendly service - Ricky Sherrill
Lovely big grassed areas, perfect for picnics and enjoying the little bit of sunshine that comes through summer - Benjamin Wharton
Star Trek Into Darkness was wonderful! The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and choir were great, and it was a brilliant setting! Loved being able to pre-order drinks for the interval too! :) - Paula Page
Incredible selection of organic and fresh produce. Everything you need to stock your kitchen plus tasty selections for lunch in the go - Catherine Klaffer
