This is where Watson announced that he and Crick “discovered” the double helix. Other than that, pretty standard. Good Mac & Cheese !
V.busy on the weekends. Head to the RAF room for the best tables (where James Watson used to sit). The fish and chips are excellent value.
Walk through the archway, through the outside seating and in a side door. You’ll end up in the RAG Bar with some very historic graffiti
Good pub grub , not cheap but not too bad foe Cambridge. Gets very busy so avoid peak times, worth the visit & other options close by if it's too busy.
I have mixed feeling (i.e., I would like to give 3.5 points, haha). If I recommend it to my friends, I would say, "try it if you are a tourist ." FYI, the food I tried was a burger .
ARM's microprocessors are in almost all the world’s smartphones, so its employees have a lot to accomplish every day. But after work, they relax at this local pub , which is more than 300 years old.
Where Crick & Watson announced their discovery of DNA . Great real ales .
Touristy , but for legitimate reasons. As a result, it can get annoyingly busy, but it's worth a visit for it's history
Fantastic historic pub , with ties to the USAF and the discovery of DNA . Food was yummy!
Nice pub inside. Wooden walls with old pictures. Few ciders on tap . Lots of tables in little hidden bits. Nice touch.
The place where the discovery of the DNA was first described
Cozy pub with lots of history. Good beer selection , decent food, friendly atmosphere .
I live this pub , I think it has so kuch history that you can almost feel it
The Memphis Belle memorabilia and WW2 artefacts are really nice to see here.... And a good pint too
I think, this is the best bar at cambridge and ıt has the most beatiful ale beer .!
If you can find a seat outside in the courtyard in a sunny day, you're a winner...
Great for a pint in the little alcoves or outdoors! Food is run-of-the-mill pub fare , a touch bland
A Cambridge institution. Often full and good atmosphere.
Lovely place and food was great too! If recommend stopping here
A good place to visit but not to stay. Wonderful history but a standard pub offering
If you're a DNA tourist , be sure to try the Eagle's DNA brew.
Mythical pub in Cambridge with a true spirit though overcrowded with tourists .
walk down the alley to the RAF bar and spot the open window above and to the left.. its for the ghost to come and go as she pleases!
The daily pie with mashed potatoes was delicious!
The beer is great and the atmosphere is really nice
If you have a special connection with DNA, you should visit here and have a DNA ale ;)
Great atmosphere.Good food variety.Something for everyone.
Lovely historic pub , great beer , seriously off-hand staff .
Nice pub , nice facilities with historic things...!
Worth a trip but expensive - come for a drink but not the night
such a great english pub !
Where famous scientist went for drinks. Famous pub . Will be expensive ...
Try the Pimm's, a cocktail made with fruit and gin .
Good selection of beer and cosy atmosphere .
You have to try fish&chips here. It is marvelous.
Great atmosphere and drinks are reasonably priced
This is where Watson exclaimed "we have discovered the meaning of life", great bar steeped in history and good ale to boot!
Good food and beautiful girls.DON'T ASK for The Eagle Platter: it isn't worth it.
It's worth a visit for the history, but I wouldn't make it my local.
Try Eagle's DNA, just perfect!!
Great atmosphere
great place to hide from rain in the very center of the city
The lamb shank was great
Beer , WWII pilots and DNA secret of life
Sunday lunch was served really quickly... Although the food was likely pre cooked, not that tasty.
Great fish and chips , although slow service, too crowdy
Great atmosphere.
DNA beer is incredible- and aptly named
Very nice place ????
The birthplace of DNA where Watson and Crick changed the world
Wonderful building and the usual great Wetherspoons value - Ian McCleave
Good value food and great real ales. Live jazz on Sunday is always popular. - Carl Griffin
Really good food. Terrific bean & sausage stew, good pint of IPA! - Richard Barnes
The food is absolute perfection! Try the chicken curry or the lamb kebab and you won't be disappointed. Extensive selection of beers on tap. - Erika Robbins
