Definitely do the audio tour or guided tour as there is no information posted. Bring water and wear sunscreen but there is a shop at the top of the old castle that sells waters and snacks if needed.

Take water, hat, comfortable shoes and clothes . Don’t forget to take camera or phone to take amazing view of the city and Castillo. Also take the chivas named la corroncha tour guide very nice.

Worth the trip for sure. Amazing views of the city . Souvenir shop at the top will have water and beer , if you need it.

It cost 17000 pesos to enter the castle . The history and the view of the place are really nice, buttons I thought that there were more to see.

Cool fort with tons of history. Definitely get an audio guide , and bring water with you to the top.

The latest entrance is at 6 pm. You can stay until 7 pm and avoid the heat and crowds and have the castle for yourself.

Start the day early. While walking to the Castillo, order an arepa con huevo and jugo de fruita from one of the street stands. This is fast food at its best.

Must get audio guide otherwise it'll be boring. The view is great but this place is more about learning the history of Cartagena .

Largest and strongest fortress built by the Spanish in Latin America. Ingenious engineering meant the fortress was never taken.

We didn't get an audio tour , but just walked around (25.000 pesos per person), it was okay. We stayed for about an hour. Most are worthy are the tunnels . The view is meh, but okay to look around.

Absolutely fantastic place if you hire a tour guide , you understand the whole story behind every single construction detail. Otherwise you'll just be watching walls and tunnels .

Early afternoon doest have a lot of tourist , but it's really hot. Late afternoon has better weather, but more tourists .

Apparently you can bring your own beer .

Bring a flashlight to check out the tunnels .

El castillo de San Felipe es una visita obligada. Prefiera las horas de la tarde para hacer el recorrido, cuando es más fresco . Recomendado el tour con Chocolate tours

Sin la audio guía no se entiende nada. La audio guiá esta bien, y más que alquilarla te sugiero que la compres en el App Store. Sumamente interesante escuchar la historia del castillo en al menos 1h.

Lindo lugar para visitar, cuando vas con guía es muy entretenido, hay que caminar bastante con cuidado, porque están haciendo arreglos; la visita dura dos horas. Tiene catacumbas, terrazas y muchos????

Lugar lindo, ótimo pra ver o por do sol! Suba no fim da tarde (perto do sol se pôr) , pois o calor é insuportável e a subida é um pouco cansativa. Não deixem de ir!

Passeio essencial em Cartagena. Deixe para ir ao cair do sol, é mais bonito, só cuidado pois a bilheteria de entrada fechas às 18hs. Quem está lá dentro pode ficar até às 19hs

En grupos grandes muy útil un guía , en parejas recomendado el audio libró , para conocer y entender la historia. Los visitantes que no hacen uso de estas ayudas sólo ven un montón de piedras.

Local muito bonito. Tire muitas fotos, cerveja mais gelada nos barzinhos mais “feios” que encontrar. Vendedores ambulantes precisa barganhar os preços.

Bem interessante! O ideal é conhecer no começo da manhã ou final de tarde. Fui por volta das 14 horas e passei um calor absurdo. COP 25k por pessoa. Eles comercializam um tour noturno por COP 50k.

Por su aporte histórico de la ciudad, es sitio obligado, más no es algo extraordinario. Fundamental contestar guía o audífono para escuchar la historia, pues el edificio carece de referencias escritas

Lugar cheio de história e segredos e ale muito a pena a visitação. Fomos no passeio de Chiva, com um guia chamado "Negro" muito bom !!

A visita guiada vale a pena. No dia que fomos só havia visita em espanhol, precisa dominar um pouco a língua , pois o guia fala rápido. Depois da visita, vale ficar um pouco mais e desbravar os túneis .

O castelo é interessantíssimo, mas opte por visitar antes das 10h ou depois das 16h para evitar o calor excessivo! Não existe nenhuma placa com explicações, então vá com um guia ou compre o audioguia !

A história é muito interessante e a vista é muito bonita. Túneis para colocar medo em claustrofóbicos. Vale a pena pegar o áudio guia , mas são 35 coisas para ouvir viu?

Un imprescindible de Cartagena. Vayan primero a ver el video que echan en el recinto del hospital dentro del recinto a horas programadas. El resto muy bonito, la vista, las galerias, las troneras...

Escolha ir depois das 16h, assim você poderá curtir o pôr do sol e evitar o calor infernal que faz no local.
