Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Built on the site of a Roman temple dedicated to the goddess Juno, the present church was constructed between 1697 and 1711. The Cathedral, enclosed in the Citadel, is a fine baroque structure in the form of a Latin cross. It is built entirely from local lime stone.

Cheap , quiet and a relaxing visit

Be sure to check out the optical illusion over the central altar.

Dani La Blum

Nice wall painting , but a bit expensive (3,50€) anyway I would pay it just to secure the maintenance.

Nihal Dinc

The cathedral has not a dome.
