An old school, classic French restaurant with an authentic menu and drink choice. Salmon mains was excellent! And more importantly, the service was friendly and amazing too.
Everything was perfect! Try the salmon , the sausage with mustard sauce and the Turkey with blue cheese sauce !! The crème brulé is one of the best I've tried. Friendly staff overall.
Very traditional French soul food experience. Gingham tablecloths and all. My food came with a casserole dish for seconds and sautéed potatoes on the side. Prices are a bit high but worth it.
Fish soup came with rouille and crouton . Rump steak was fantastic. "A point" does not perfectly mean "medium@, but, rare to medium rare, more or less in English.
Food and staff were amazing. Try the delicious coq au vin or the creme brûlée . Worth your money. ????
Cream of Mushroom soup when du jour, Toulasse Sausage in Mustard Cream Sauce , the dozen escargot not to miss! A+
We had the beef bourguignon and the coq au vin and they were incredible. Delicious creme brûlée , too.
A nice little piece of France in the heart of Grassmarket. We really enjoyed the food and... the agitation of the waiters : "chaud, chaud!!"
"Great french food !" (Brother). ordered smth, asked to get it without cheese .got it with, gave it back. Waitress really upset, talked bout me with colleagues. Pitty I speak french. HORROR FOR A VEGAN !
French food cooked excellently. Recommend the mains Petit Paris stew and steak .
adorable interior!!! food was delicious as well and the staff was friendly :)
Well , white mushroom is tasty, but salty as hell unfortunately. On the other hand, fish of the day with mashed potatoes and vegetables was almost perfect
The onion soup was delicious. ????
I would recommend the coq au vin and house wine !!
Steak with pepper sauce
The warm goat cheese is superb! Super-recommended
Real French food served by French. And it's really good.
Nice food, good prices, good service .
A very popular little place it seems. With French staff and all! Do try.
Very French and very good!
Good desert !
If they have it, get the coq au vin . Incroyable!
The turreen is to die for.
Creme brûlée is divine but enough for 2. Share it or suffer a tummy ache!
Best restaurant in the Grassmarket area.

Best (and possibly most expensive) restaurant experience in Edinburgh. Amazing concept - 2 starters, then 1 share plate, then 2 mains...you get the idea. Definitely get the optional cheese board! - Veronika K
