Tahrir Square Cairo Muḩāfaz̧at al Qāhirah Egypt
The symbol of Egyptian freedom! During big demos, keep you're back to Kasr El Nile bridge so you can leave easily. Don't go near Hardees or Mohamed Mahmoud at night, that's just asking for trouble!
Koshari and pita with falafel and humus , one of the best food in the world. Plus it's pure veg too! #znah #history #egypt fg%%;&-&&:
After the Egyptian Revolution of 1919, the square became widely known as Tahrir (Liberation) Square, but the square was not officially renamed until the Egyptian Revolution of 1952.
WATCH OUT, You're walking on Holy Ground here, lots of blood shed on this ground for Egypt's Freedom.
The square which was testified the history as well as revolutions since 1919
As a Syrian I'm gonna allow myself to say this : it feels like home. Love Egypt❤
Its like a piece of art at night. I love everything about it then ????
The real matyrs Square. Tahrir Square is unequivocally the most holy land outside the religious centres. Always observe a moment of silence for the fallen heroes. God bless Egypt...
This is a historical public town square in Cairo. the Tahrir Square has been the place for historical events such as the 1977 Egyptian Bread Riots and the recent 2011 Egyptian Revolution .
It became spacious n nice after all our memories there
At night it is a part of Paris, the upgrades are wonderful and it brought freedom to Egypt from 1919 to 2011 to 2018 and still.
Try to walk from here to zamalek. It took around 40minutes. Used google map for walking route. You can see another side of Cairo.
Holy Ground here | hats off
You can really experience the passion of the Egyptian people while passing through here. For safety, before your visit, consult a local Tour Guide to see if there are any demonstrations taking place.
Beautiful surroundings, and amazing to think about the history here.
Memories are fading after MB and militarists took over the revolution, but it still means something for those who appreciate freedom.
The heart of Egypt. In this place many incidents have took place that date back to a very long time. Remember, this is NOT just another square.
I'd recommend going down Mohamed Mahmoud street to see all the graffiti !
Never go with a car even to the nearest point! EGYPT is astonishing the World as always...
